It's monsoon season!! For the last few days we have had really heavy rain, and people are going out in the rain to shower... ha ha it's quite funny. Been out a lot lately on the beach.. at night the beachfront has some amazing clubs but they all turn off the music really early at half 1 because 3 weeks ago a tourist got shot by a local on the beach! So apparently now they have to turn the music off early so that the tourists dont get too drunk and rowdy.. Going to james bond island, monkey island and THE BEACH island (where leo dicaprio filmed the beach!) and snorkelling tomor. Very excited! Helloooo!! Have been doing lots of stuff lately. Went to the banyan tree for our last night in bangkok, absolutely stunning. Its a rooftop bar in a hotel on the 57th floor and it has a view of the whole of bangkok. Literally the best place in thailand. Not much else has happened in bangkok really, haven't seen many ladyboys although we did watch the royal wedding in the pub which was lovely. I love harry!! Arrived in phuket 2 days ago after a loooong 12 hour coach trip and it was pouring with rain!! And the coach driver did about 10 pitstops - one to go toilet, one to buy a drink, one to buy food and another to get cigarettes. Thai people really have no sense of time... We have arrived in bangkok!! the place we are staying in is lovely, and they have the smallest rabbit ever!! Literally the size of a hamster.. i will post a pic later! Before i start talking about bangkok, let me quickly tell you about the toilet embarrassment in delhi! so... we only had 5 rupees left an adi said why dont we give it to the toilet attenent. I thought it was a bit too low but she said they have low wages inndia anyway so i thought it wuld be ok. Went into the toilet a bit sheepish and gave her the 5 ruppees, and she started laughing! apparently it's like giving someone in london a tip of 1p!! i can never go to delhi again! Spent the day in delhi airport. Lots of sleeping (adrianne's winning by a mile) while people stared, talking and working out how to use the toilets. This is why: Had a nice flight although we were surrounded by crying babies and smelly people who did dirty poos. Sean was closest! Met one canadian backpacker who demanded to knwo where we were from.. we rejected him quickly and have not made any firends ha. Hello bloggers!! So I have now left work and am officially unemployed woooohoo! Never thought I would be celebrating unemployment ha. Had a lovely last day, got champagne, gift vouchers and cake (they know me so well!) and apparently my manager was about to cry! Ahhhh i'm going to miss them. Feels a bit weird but i will (sadly) probably be back there when i'm done cruising the world. Had quite an stressful day today trying to pack!! There literally isn't enough space for all the things i need.. doesn't help that i want to bring half the pharmacy with me. Think i may be a touch hypochondric - did i just make that up?
