WOWZA!
OMG! What a major ordeal to get settled into the new culture of South Korea. I enjoyed reading your travel blog--although, I felt sorry for you during most of the adventure. You gave a great blow-by-blow detailing which made me feel I was on location with you and Jake. I know your teaching experience will be a rich one which you will reflect on the rest of your lives. Please know many are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers. Enjoy each moment. Love n hugs n blessings, Auntee Lyndee

The privileged seats for the elderly, handicapped, pregnant, etc. are located in the front part of the car. (Left and right, for three persons each.) Those seats are pink or red, I think. Other seats anybody can take, but Confucian etiquette recommends you to yield your seats if someone standing in front of you is apparently old (i.e. over 70) or weak. Also, you may encounter some crazy people (some of them senior citizens) on a train, just like anywhere in the world.

OMW! Laughing too hard!
You guys are quite funny, you should do some stand-up comedy while your there, make a few extra bucks! You shed great light on the little hardships that foreigners must endure while traveling to totally new countries! I love it! Jake, once again, I wish I could have been there (a wallflower) watching your face as you enjoyed your "cheesy fries" and "boneless wings!" But since I couldn't be there, I get to use my imagination while reading Bethany's blog and I think that maybe it makes it even better! Enjoy to the max and soak in your new surroundings!

Thanks for the blog! What an adventure you have. You will settle down in a few days after you pass the test, which you will!!!!!! I remember coming to the US and how strange everything was. How difficult it was (and still is) to find a German bread. You will learn a lot! Johann

Wow, jet lag is in full affect. I totally studied all of that stuff you are talking for 5 weeks over the summer in a TESOL class. It was the hardest class. I did not put into it what I needed to put into to really learn all that stuff...ugh. Probably should have. I had a great (and hard) teacher, but it was so hard for me to understand and I had tons of other classes and better things to do over the summer so I didn't put much into it. :/ It's the only B+ of all my classes at Western, and I only got a B+ because there were lots of projects to even out how bad I did on every single quiz... I have so many worksheets, books, and resources from my teacher I wish I could show you. Anyways, good job studying. You guys will pass the test...of course!

Interesting!
From the name "Stellenbosch" one can be exited to know what kind of place it is.Its a pretty name full of esthetics and worth calling attention. From this greeting message,i can clearly understand now the kind of place Stellenbosch is.As a future Matie,i feel much more exited to live the realities of the place.I can't wait to be part of Matieland this January 2010.

So, that's sad your comp is still not working, I want to see your pictures like bad :) oh and By the Way, I'm going to Thailand for sure!!!! I'll probably leave on may 29 and then get a week before eacher training starts, I'm so excited!!!! I can't wait to go, its so hard to be here in Seattle right now where it's cold and rainy and in Bangkok it's like 95 degrees (seriously I've been looking at the weather page in the weattle times for the last couple weeks and Bangkok is always the hottest city, I don't know if thats a good or a bad thing yet...) Have fun on your amazing trip. You're absolutely the bravest for going sky diving. One thing I'll never do, and I can't wait to hear about your bungee jump experience. Eveyone else I know who did it said it was mind blowing. Hope you have a good weekend, good luck with classes and I hope your battery gets there soon :)

Oh poor computer and poor Bethany. I had a feeling when we met at Panera that it might die and it sounds like it did the same thing my old one did and sorry kid but mine still hasn't come back to life and it happened 6 months ago.... I hope you get it figured out though. Life is tough without a comp (as you now know) espcially when you take a gazillion pictures. Is there any way you can get a new one? I'll just put a plug in here, although Macs are expensive, the rock. No problems as of yet, you should totally get one :)
