B Graece!! A new nick name!! Thanks for the blogging!! I'm going to forward your blog to those people who only get Jake's and hence don't get any! I love the fourth of July antics and am so proud of you for your adventuresomeness!! Also so excited about your surgery and will send positive vibes your way for Saturday! Take good care of each other!! Love you!!

WOWZA! Yipes! Your rafting trip was way too exciting for this kiddo! I'm just so happy you are still with us. My white water rafting down the Wenatchee sounds tame after this experience. Will you be signing on for yet another raft adventure soon? Ha!
Nice job on the narrating and photos. You're a good story-teller and kept us there with you in those scary moments!

You are scaring me to death Please be careful when you are in another country. They are not as concern about safety like we are here. My heart was beating so fast just reading this. I want to see you and Jake alive again and in one piece. Love ya Aunt Gloria. Yes, I will keep you in my prayers...
Man, Bet, this is scary stuff! Thanks for letting us in on the details. I had heard that it was rough but this really gave me a feel for what it was like. I'm so thankful everyone is OK. Let's not do that when I come!! Have a good week and be safe! Give Jake a hug for me! Love you! Jeanne
What a find!! So glad you took the risk and went the whole way. Also glad you are getting plenty of exercise and learning the laws of the land. Keep smiling!! Love you!! Jeanne
The whole time I am reading I keep thinking "How fun would it be to explore with her!" Your jogs sound like fun :-) I loved your free tour of the countryside!
I am sure that Koreans are more timid and insecure than stuck up--I have noticed that when I think people come off as mean or rude because they are quiet its usually cause they are insecure or intimidated. I have a student who I thought HATED me because she would just watch my every move with an expressionless face. But now that she has opened up a bit she asks me things like, "Where do you shop? Where do you buy your clothes?" or shows interest in my personal life. I realized that she didn't hate me! lol So keep at it being friendly---it will pay off :-) Love you lots.
Once Again... Bethany your an amazing writer! Your journals you are keeping of these amazing experiences will be a life-time treasure for you (me too). Hilarious stories and very exciting adventures!
Hey, Bet!! So good to hear from you and about all of your adventures! I'm going to assume its safe for you to be going around alone! hahaha!! The mother in me coming out! Just be careful and even though it is a hassle continue to tell us your grand adventures!! Love you! Jeanne (Tell Jake Hi for me!!)
Grateful! Everyone is sorry about your losses this week, very difficult and trying. I appreciate your positive attitude bethany and know you two are thankful you were safe. Love you lots! Mom
Oh man, so sad and frustrating!! Way to be thankful and look at the positive side. That is really nice that the chief police officer came over, and so sweet what he said about them. Haha, "Yes, I said, full of pride. They are all very beautiful." Haha, that's great!
Although you shouldn't hold on to this thought, I have some feeling that your camera may miraculously show up again, or something. Im gonna pray that it does. Remember that time you prayed for my computer to turn on? :)
You're awesome. Thanks for sending me flowers and beautiful cards in the midst of the worst week in Korea. You're wonderful! love you!
Oh, Bet, this made me so sad but I love the perspective you gave it in the end. I am so thankful that you didn't wake up and that above all else, you and Jake are safe. A hard but valuable lesson in life of which you'll have many more! I love you! Take good care of each other.

FISHBOWL! SO excited to hear that fishbowl made it to Korea!!! lol Was it difficult to play with the language barrier? We try to play with our aunts and its HILARIOUS because even though they speak English VERY well, its difficult for all of us to be on the same page when explaining stuff. Great talking to you this weekend...love you.
Hey there! Hi Bethany!
You left a message on Scott and my blog. We are also going to Cheongju tomorrow! We are pretty excited and its really cool that you are going to be there too! Do you think we could meet up at some point in the near future? Do you know the Wonderland School? That is where we will be teaching. It is in the same neighborhood as you. Do you happen to use skype? My e-mail is rachelmador@hotmail.com
Thanks!
Hey, Bet!! So good to hear from you!! I'm sorry I missed skyping this week but maybe with Emily next week!! Sounds like you are continuing to have many great adventures and good times! Maggie and Rez are coming today and we are going to George's! Tomorrow Emily gets here and we go to the kids' recital tomorrow night. Sunday morning we are celebrating the end of Em's first year of law school!! Busy, fun weekend. She'll stay next week so it will be nice to have one of my kids around! I miss you guys so much!! Give Jake a kiss for me!! I love you both!! Have a great time in Seoul!!

Thanks Bethany! I loved this blog, as with all of them. I was thrilled that you ended your writing with a "shout out" to Nanny! That was so sweet Bethany. I love you lots! Mom
Sounds like you and Jake have gotten settled in and are making the most of your time there. So glad you are having fun. We miss you and think of ya'll often.
Hey, Bet!! Another great blog that I am so thankful for!! I just love all the details! I miss you guys so much and think of you every day!! Hopefully soon we can Skype!! Have fun!! Love you!! Jeanne
im luaghing: "and I'm always sore from doing nothing." ha, wow. "a total of ONE star." wow. Yay, hanging out with Koreans...you learned Korean things: drink soju! take advantage of live performances! Glad your friends enjoyed fishbowl, fun! And hilarious story about that girl taking pictures of you 3 times and not like it!!! hahaha.
Yay for making it into your blog! :) Skyping with you was certainly the highlight of my weekend--it is mind blowing how small the world gets with technology. Speaking of a small world....CRAZY how Stacey was going to hire the girl you met from puyallup! I mean its crazy enough that you met her and she's from puyallup and she knows chris and everybody else! Funny that you guys are testing this week---so are we! lol Pretty boring....but its a nice break from talking for 80 minutes straight at a time. I listened to the music videos you sent me---so relaxing :) Made me miss studying with you at school (i use the term miss loosely here....you know what I miss and its not VA or studying lol) Fun to read about your weekend..love ya.
