Happy 4th of July! Hi guys! Hope your 4th is going as great as it sounds! We all miss you much ~ but so glad you are going to have such a great show for the 4th! Luckily for me, Christina is here to brief me on the meaning of your "numbs are cheek".. I obviously need to catch up a little.. and learn how to make you a margarita, Ann! :) xoxo
PS - Uncle Chi-Chi, Morgie says "POLLLLLLY POCKET!!!!"
My Numbs are Cheek! I fell off my chair laughing... We know you are having fun when your "numbs are cheek"! It sounds like you are having a blast, and I ditto the "Ann in the picture" comment....I was also beginning to think you weren't going to be in any pictures. xo chris
Beeskaus Bomb Bronx Wow! You guys are really having a great time!! Nice game to see, Clemens was on his game. Keep up the entries, we are enjoying them greatly.
Ann in pic I agree with Chris...Ann is realy there! Finally in a pic. (Phil should always wear blue :). ) Are you getting rested up to go back to see the fireworks tonight? xoxoxoxoxo
Cool bartender Hi Chris! I was taking the photo and the bartender insisted on taking it! Any bartender that allows kids to belly up to the bar, is a great one in my book! ;)
Finally! Ann, you're finally in a picture! Wasn't sure you were really there. It's so much fun reading all about what's going on. Almost think we'll turn our tickets in since I feel like we're there already!! How was Spamalot?
Yankee's game HI--had a comment ready to send, hit the wrong key and lost it. Was writing some family trivia to tell Katt and David that the Yankee's were their great grandpa's (my Dad) favorite team up until the Giants moved to 'the' CITY BY THE BAY then he changed his allegiance to them. Also Grandpa Stan and I spent a few hours in Manhattan between landing at JFK and going on to Ithaca to see Phil in school--this in Oct. '78 all unplanned--think about it kids that was 29 years ago, we saw some of the landmark spots then--you are all so lucky to be able to see so much. Hope the weather stays reasonable for you. Keep up the comments as I know all are enjoying them. :)
Glad it's a laid back Sunday It sounds like you need a laid back Sunday, but going to mass @ 4 am seems kind of like GiGi's habits. Glad you are all having a good time and that you are seeing the best stuff in a short time. Have some Starbucks for Papa.
Fun, fun! What a beautiful pic of Phil and Mary's home, you are certainly travelin' in style! Nice to get the chance to go to NYC, but even better with great hosts to boot! We are jealous, but really enjoying the vacation via the blog! xoxo
Your having way too much fun Gosh is Phil like GiGi? There before the priest. Does he have his own key?
Glad you are taking advantage of all the hospitality and getting to have some fun. Sounds like your taking it all in. Nice shot of the family around the patio. Hi to everyone.
Grandma's room Ah yes, I recognize the room at the near end over the garage. It's "Grandma's room", you know. Phil just told me over the phone that the new shower doors were put in on Fri. for the newly remodled bathroom--so you guys are first class all the way. You got a great shot of the house--probably better than any I have taken--don't laugh. Not a bad way to spend the day. Gosh, when Phil isn't there to lector, they really must miss him, that's summer for you. Wonder when he has time to meditate on the readings ;). I'm sure the young ones will have fun bowling--I've met the two friends Steve goes with. Have fun tomorrow!! I heard the schedule from Phil. Love to all xoxoxo
Sunday I know exactly what the drill is on Sunday at Hannah's Rd.--an easy going morning with the anticipation of afternoon plans--Mass at 4 pm then it's back home where Phil will load up the BBQ with chicken and hamburgers (enough for the week) :) and a flurry of activity in the kitchen; stay clear! Maybe extra friends of all ages will be there for dinner and for you to meet. A great relaxing time will be had by all. By the way, tell Phil, that now that my bionic knee is doing so well, I am ready so see some more sights around town--that doesn't mean that I am ungrateful re the ones I have already had. Is is ok if I give Eileen your travel blog address? She can certainly identify with some of this, I am sure. Saw her Mom and grandparents this am. Much love xoxoxo!!!
OMG! I think I'm tired just from reading this! Sounds like such a great time! Phil is certainly going to make this an unforgetable vacation for you - when you go, YOU GO. Love the pics and comments. Hope you keep it up - it's a vacation for all of us!! MIss ya!
What sleep??? Hey Ann, didn't you tell aunt Lori what you told me last week--"Oh, I will go back to work the day after I get home, 'cause I recoup quick!" Anyway, you don't have to count the carbs at this pace ;)
Great update Thanks for the update--those are my grandkids on their own in the City tonight!! Will be glad to hear tomorrow that they got home ok. Yes, I know Brie and Steve know their way around--but wasn't Brie 'missing' for awhile? That's why Grandmas pray.---Interesting what $10M can buy overlooking Central Park.-- Not only do I have your blog site on my favorites list, I also signed on to get an e-mail whenever you add a comment. Sounds like you have hit the ground running. Luv ya.
Hi computer nerds Yes, there are police everywhere! The city is a great place to visit! We've only been here 24 hours and have already seen so much. It's great to be here with a local! Talk to you soon. xoxo, Ann
Never sleeps? Kat-West Coast Phil here. Why is there a police car in one of your photos? Did you neglect to add all activities to your post? If you need bail money at any time during your trip-call.
Hey guys- I love Times Square! I love everything about NYC-there is so much energy! I'm so glad Phil immersed you immediately into the pulse of NYC; sounds like my kind of guy. Keep posting as you know us computer nerds (we know who we are ) will continue to read up on the travel blog-not to be confused with the b-log! xo Chris
Wear comfortable shoes! Hey! You guys. Sounds great!! I have travelled with Phil and I know exactly the pace you are having to keep up. Did I really birth all of these 'personalities'? Beautiful!! Hope to catch you by phone, too.
Inspired by our friend Tina (aka, ), we decided to create this travel blog to post photos / adventures from our upcoming trip to NY / DC. This will be our first cross country family trip. Should have some fun stories to report. Hard to believe, but Katherine graduated from high school this past May. We figured we should get a nice family trip in before she heads to UC Santa Cruz in the fall.
We'll be spending 11 days with my oldest brother (Phil) and his wife (Mary) in Stamford, CT. They have graciously opened their home to us. They're great hosts/hostess', so I know we... full info
