Times Square
Looking up broadway. We couldn't believe how many people were out after midnight. Ahhhh, the city that never sleeps. Katherine here--We knew we were in trouble when Phil asked what shape we were in when we arrived at 11:30pm in the La Guardia airport. Something told us we weren't headed straight home. True to his character, he had a plan...and a 16 ounce cup of coffee right before we arrived. He took us onto the Triborough Bridge to Manhattan starting in Spanish Harlem and turned onto Park Avenue. We drove all the way to Broadway to see the best place to be on a Friday in the middle of the night...Times Square. At about Broadway and 45th he told us to get out of the car and walk down Broadway to 42nd and cut across to Eighth where he would meet us. All of this at a little after midnight and right off the plane, mind you. In a place that's brighter at 1am than during the day we passed by food vendors, knock off purse sellers, and few 24 hour Starbucks. After seeing our fair share of watch sellers and sketch artists, we arrived at Eighth, we found Phil and got back in the car to make our way to Madison Avenue. He also showed us Yankee Stadium
We're still alive
Picture captured moments after Phil pushed us out of his car! on the way to Stamford where we finally arrived at 2am. We all stayed up talking in the kitchen until 3 when the adults went to sleep, but David and I stayed up with Steven and Brie until around 4am. This is going to be fun.
