Elephant abuse
I have visited this place and was disgusted by the treatment of the elephants in a supposedly Hindu/Buddhist country - what hypocrites. I was hoping to see happy, free elephants not chained and abused. They were so bored they just swayed from side to side and could not even get the comfort of the elephant next to them. Then they were raced against each other, overloaded with fat tourists on the same boring route for 90 minutes everyday for a short taste of "freedom". , All whilst being kicked behind the ears, beaten and having a spike jammed into their head. Do not give this place your money or if you are there, refuse the elephant ride and use the time to protest to those that run this place.

Hé Wijnand dat is genieten, daar kun je wel een aantal weken vertoeven. Ik hoorde van Coby dat alles goed gaat. Inmiddels is het hier ook heerlijk weer dit weekend. Geniet er maar lekker van. Veel lliefs uit Assen

Grijs
Hi Wijnand Heb net al je verhalen op je site gelezen. De foto's bekeken, ook daar is het grijs en grauw volges mij, net zoals hier. Maar nog even en dan ga je naar Singapore, en daar is het warm volgens mij. Ik zal proberen via skype Bart Jan te bereiken op zijn verjaardag zodat we even met zijn allen kunnen bijkletsen. Ik heb geprobeerd je te bellen op jouw verjaardag maar had geen bereik. Zal de volgende week even een uitgebreide mail naar je sturen. Lukt op dit moment niet zo goed, moet nog even klussen boven.
