the adventure continues Maggie - I'm sorry to hear about your struggles with the school. I guess that's one of the down sides of a culture in which the individual doesn't count for much. I hope you enjoy Malaysia. Someday in the future, if your road takes you through Steamboat, I'd love to get together and hear your stories!
Goodbye to Korea Dear Maggie,
Your kids in Korea will always remember you. You did a great job, one you should be proud of. Hope you enjoy Malaysia and the beaches. Your family misses you!
goodbye, Korea I'm so glad/sad for you to leave Korea. It is time to move on, though, and I hope you will find something new and wonderful to embrace. Selfishly, I'd love to see you come back to the USA and settle down, but that's a big challenge, too. Anyway, Maggie, stay safe, and enjoy your time in Malaysia. I love you!!!!

Leaving Korea? Hey Maggie,
Your blog just popped into my e-mail, and I realized I subscribed to your blog a long time ago and forgot about it for a while. How are you? So I see your experience in Korea is a mixed one. Too bad the school didn't seem to respect you that much. They should have treated you (and other teachers) better. At least you had some supportive parents and kids.
Hope your journey in Malaysia will be a good one!
You rock! Maggie - Reading your blog brings tears to my eyes! I am amazed by you. You are inspiring and remind me how much I need to travel and experience life with my kids. Thanks! Hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family!
love, Courts
Awesome!! Maggie,
What an awesome blog and great pictures!! I can surely see why you like china. Just think how old and rich the culture and history of china is - so much to see and do. Question, did you eat the chicken foot?? I wish I could have been there with you hiking the great wall, perhaps when Isabella gets older......
Isabella, Joe and I Love you Mags! Thanks for sharing your photots,
Jennifer
Maggie you are absolutely amazing! I'm really enjoying your blog's. If it's true that at the end of our lives, we rarely regret the things that we did, but rather the things that we didn't do, you will die with no regrets. I am sure that your life there has many struggles, but what an amazing experience. I remember feeling homesick at times when I was abroad for a long period of time, but soak it all in, it will all end too soon.
New Pictures I'm glad you're feeling better now that Spring has arrived. The pictures you sent are beautiful and really interesting. I hope the teaching is going OK for you. Your mom fills me in once in awhile. What will be happening during the summer? Do you teach straight through? I'm glad you have some American friends to hang out with. I'm sure that makes things easier for you. Take care, Maggie, and stay safe!!
I love you!

I had no idea! I had no idea you were in Korea! i ran into Bonnie down the street (Manitou) and she emailed me the link. I'm so pyshced you're doing this and seeing the world. Good for you, Maggie! Sounds like quite an adventure and a great life experience. I'm so happy for you. Continued good luck!
Trip to Japan A nice, clean city and just the right size. Glad the two of you had a fun time even with your "diseases." Maggie, I enjoy seeing pictures of you because you look healthy and happy. Love, Mom
Great letter and pictures! Your letter was fabulous! It seems the Japan trip was a nice getaway for you and Michelle. I'm sorry both of you were a bit under the weather. Your pictures were really beautiful. I'll bet it was nice to be surrounded by a little more Western culture than you're used to. I know you are back at work, and there are difficult days for you, but keep at it, Maggie. No matter what, you are making a positive impact on your students, even just by being there.
I love you!!! Keep plugging along, "Mrs. Teacher"!!!

Sounds normal to me!! So welcome to the world of teaching. Every day is a new experience and you have a great time in the process. It will not take you very long to find that niche you are looking for and the smiles on those little Korean faces will tell the whole story. Keep up the great work and enjoy yourself. Love you -
Just catchin up I have been reading through where I left off in January! I missed alot. Congrats on the job. Your class is adorable. When the kids are running you over, take a deep breath and try to be silly to gain their attention again on what you want them to do. You are awesome !, sounds like you are having a great experience. I hope you have fun with the teaching....you may be the one who learns the most, and thats okay too! I love ya!

We are so glad that you have found a fantastic job with a free apartment!! Does it get any better? Seoul looks amazing! but cold. We are still sweltering away in Phnom Penh but enjoying it more than ever.
