i like reading your blog. it reminds me of my trip to those islets last August. the next time you go to bucas grande, don\'t forget to check out the harmless jellyfish there. it\'s an awesome experience. you get to swim with swarms of jellyfish. they\'re completely harmless,. you dont have to worry of getting stung or having an itchy feeling.. they all come in different sizes - the smallest ones are just as big as a pencil eraser, the larger ones are as big as your palms. their colors range from golden brown to dark brown with some greenish or sometimes orange tints.. seeing them underneath the blue-green waters is such a breath taking sight. you would surely love to see them too

Guam
I apologize for the two idiots commenting on your picture. I"m in Guam right now and enjoying it as well. The people are really pleasant, and the area outside of the tourist zones feels very authentic--not like other places where only the rich have homes on the ocean. Very 3d world in places, but mostly very civilized. I saw a cucumber while snorkeling this morning-never saw one before; thought it was a piece of rope till I noticed the fans near it's head where it was feeding. Large--at least 2 feet long and moved it's body like a worm. hafa adai.

Fun fun fun..
Been in Cagayan de Oro and I could say that was extremely fun and adventure especially in the white water rafting. For those who haven't there yet, you should try it to see it to yourself.

Begging ? ?
It's a kind of sport. They don't catch it out of the air but first let the coin sink to the bottom and than dive to earn it. Why you shouldn't appriciate their show.

Safety in Siargao
@jacigurl: Hey again, I am sorry for this very delayed response. I hope you had a grand time in Siargao. I'm sure you did not encounter any safety issues except for the normal precautions when aboard a boat and when using underwater gear (I am saying this because I took my snorkeling gear with me when I was there.) Well, there's is one... but the boaters should know about this anyway... be aware of the time of day for high tide because you don't want to be stuck inside Bucas Grande at that time.

Sandy beach
@Michelle: I am so sorry this is a very delayed response. I would recommend Alegria if you are looking for a sandy beach to relax in. But if you are all in for some adventure... take a boat and go to the Nude Beach or Dako!

Safety in Siargao
Hi, I'll be there next month, and I really want to see Bucas Grande and GL. Is there any safety issues there at the moment? Especially I'm coming down when it's not a peak season

Sandy beach
Hey there! I just want to say what a very informative site you have. I was wondering which beach is better? The one in Gen Luna or the one in Alegria? You mentioned that the beach located in the South, are generally more rocky? So if I'm looking for a soft sandy beach and not the surf, is it better for me to stay in Alegria? Or at least with the beach resorts that are located north?

HOPING...
I hope I can travel to a lot of places like you. :) There are so many beautiful sites and sceneries in the Philippines aside from the simple but friendly Cagayan de Oro hotels in CDO.
