I only spent the day in Nanjing and didn't even go and see the famous porcelain tower. Did have a slightly interesting run in with a soldier, funny and scary all in one. I think one of the problems of retro publishing is you don't really remember the feeling of what happened or have the ability to accurately describe what happened. I never really wanted to go to Shanghai, after my few days in Beijing in December and not liking it, but it was on the way so off I went and promptly fell in love with it.
