Another problem!
We were so sorry to hear that your credit card was stolen! Boy, you've sure had your share of problems since you arrived there. We were at your mom's when you called Sun night. I can understand your frustration and your desire to get back home. But we're really sorry the experience hasn't been better for you. Lynne

Where is that?
I've been to Heredia several times but don't recall seeing this garden. Where is that in relation to the University?

pictures.
Amy, thanks for sending the pictures. I am always interested in what you are doing and seeing. The coffee plantation was beautiful. It looked like you were so close to the volcano. Since there was a fence there, I guess it was safe. Grandma Betty

Volcanos
It's amazing to think that in 100 years there's no growth in the volcano crater. It took 20 years for anything to start growing at Mt. St. Helens. I haven't been there recently, but I doubt if there's anything growing in the crater there either. Keep having fun! I'm sure the homesickness will start to set in soon, but you can work it out. How long do you plan to stay? Lynn

I have enjoyed your blog. We are going to watch the Palin-Biden debate. Ruby has taken an interest in this election. Do you get much information about it down there??

Reunion
Amy, We are glad that you are having a nice trip to the beach. The reunion has been cancled by IKE. The location, Andy's house, was ground zero for IKE. His house did sustain minor damage, but it certainly could have been worse. Dad

Beach
Wow, Puerta Viejo. When you're back in America figure out how much it would cost you to visit there and the 5 hour bus ride will seem very cheap. Glad you're having such a great time. Love, Nina

Second Day
What an exciting adventure you are on!!! I only wish I could have seen you before you left for the unknowns in Costa Rico. Exactly who makes up your classes? Students, adults, all ages? Just people who want to learn English? Have you had a chance to see the area? You are an inspiration to us all...."talk" to you later... Judy

Doing Well
Amy, We are glad that you are getting to know lots of people and that your training is going well. I am sure that you will be doing a good job with the teaching and that the students will all be willing learners. Dealing with adults should be much different than working in a High School. To all of you who are reading Amy's postings, please take the time to respond or comment. One-way communication is difficuilt to maintain.

Sounds like you're right on track!
We're so glad to hear you're doing so well! I know you can't help but be overwhelmed at times - like arriving home for the first time on the bus in a downpour! But I know this will be an amazing experience for you. Take care, girl!
