Nice shirt! I'm so behind in reading your blog! I'm happy to see that t-shirt has come in handy! Louise-I'm so sorry about your accident! I cried when I read that you cried...but it looks like you're making the most of everything!
Safe travels from now on and I'm really enjoying your posts. I'll write again soon!
Hello!
Me and my boyfriend are planing a trip to Indonesia in August. I was wondering if you could tell me the name or the adress of a place that you stayed in Lake Toba. It looked realy nice. What is the price for one day?
Didi you go on a 2 day trek? How was it? Where did you find your guide?
I hope I will hear from you.
Please write me to my e-mail: krninaana@yahoo.ca
Hay guys - Emma, April and I want to see the Orangutangs and want to book it soon for our summer break - so any info you have can you e-mail me (where to go and where to stay??) Love you both!!!!!! stay safe! The Easter Bunny visited me today. Yumm!
from our tribe to yours We LOVED this entry! We were literally gasping and laughing out loud. Can't believe what you two are up to (Nana is absolutely horrified!). We also can't wait to see what you bought from the tribeswomen (hope it's more exciting than a string bag!). More!
Amazing Best Blog yet, hilarious entry - well Im sure you guys can laugh at it now, even the airport fiasco. Well worth the hasstle though meeting a truely primative tribe; something you will never forget and something that is very difficult to come by in this global village of ours.
Was it as basic as it sounds? Was there pro evo or sky TV in one of their huts?
Looking forward to the next entry
Michael
From missionaries to holiday reps The village children waiting for Sunday school really caught my eye. The kids look fantastic. Don't you just want to take them home with you. Louise, you must have reflected on your own kids back at your school.
In contrast the mad Brits getting drunk in Pha-ngan was a hoot. great to see you all having the time of you lives. David, you look like on of the extras in 'Sean of the dead' as in Going(photo 10) Then in photo15 you were going goig gone. Apart from that you are both becoming expert at photography. Some of the photos are simply breathtaking. My favourite is'the beach of Phi Phi Lei' but that said they are all fantastic, you should both be proud of yourselves. love you both xxx
life eith the locals down under It's amazing what you can achieve by dropping the odd subtle hint, also when you're hungry, who cares! By the way, what was it that everyone was tucking into in that part of Japapura?( didn't realise that Papua New Guinea was so big, nearly twice the size of the UK, with contrasting cultures of christian and muslim with their neighbouring islands of Indonesia)
How very kind it was of Lynn to make you a wonderful bag souvenir. Her sentiments brought a tear to my eye. She considered you to be '...her children...', amazing person!
It's also amazing that you have learned to take the rough with the smooth, such as the dodgy transport system and the, not always reliable or consistent, accommodation. God! you must have so much to share with your friends when you return home. I'm looking forward to having a bite to eat, a pint to drink, and a great get-together in the little pub by the lake off St Albans.
Where are you Liouse?(joke)wonderful pictures of the local people of Jayapura, one of them looks very familiar! Thanks also for bringing David into my living room, so to speak. Great pictures, and as usual, great blogs. particulalry the one of you David, winning top prize.
All the very best muckers, or is it cobbers, as the say in Australia look forward to your next entry into the blog. love you heaps. Keep enjoying yourselves, miss you to bits.xxx
Most exotic so far!! Wow! Papua New Guinea! Really really impressed with you full on traveling, and these adventures are amongst my favourite so far. Such a shame you couldn't stay longer.
Trust David to join the sack race and not just let one of the small children win. Hope you're keeping safe. To Oz next week eh. Hopefully you'll be able to update the blog there (dig dig). Only kidding just loving every entry and can't get enough. I expect you to blog about day to day activities when you get back to compensate for what a void in my life it will be!! Missing you lots,
Karen xxxx
it could only happen to David Watching footie in the Police Station and winning the sack race! What a perfect day. (all it needed was a karaoke).
Hope you bought 3 men in a boat and enjoyed it - can't think of anything more English to remind you of home (albeit in the last century). Excellent blog as usual.
cool snorkelling Hey guys,
Indonesia sounds cool, very very intersting and 'real' travelling. Plus the snorkelling looks amazing, bet you had fun with the underwater camera, we did the same in Ko Lipe.
Really enjoying the blogs especially now we are home. Pleased you two are doing well. Cant wait to hear the next update (australia cant be far away now)

Hello from back in England! Hello you two,
It sounds like you are having a really amazing experience...real off the beaten track stuff! The snorkelling sounds great. Did you know that Phosphorus compounds are also widely used in explosives, nerve agents, friction matches, fireworks, pesticides, toothpaste, and detergents!
Me and Michael are back in England and have already dealt with the transition from 35 Degrees to - 2 and snow! We miss being away but are happy to see our friends, family, cat and house. Cant wait to meet up for camping and other festivities once you are back...but thats a long time yet, so enjoy. xxx
and we thought January was wet,,,, What an unrepeatable birthday! This installment had more than it's share of ups and downs but at least it ended happily. Made us glad to be in UK in winter.
Nice Tash'! David looks a bit like Dartanian! (or should that be Dogtanian?). The island also looks gorgeous, shame I didn't share the experience... Glad you had a nice time in paradise after the horror of a bad accident. Glorious photos too. Good show!
Cambodge I defy anyone to visit Cambodia and not come away totally in love with the country... And I cant get over how accurately Jimmy described the people and culture there just by looking at your photos! Has he been?!
More comments! Cant wait to sit together in your living room and bitch about the Indian Hard Sell! My God. "You like, you give good price". No - sod off. Hows that?
