Well I can hardly beleive that we have been here in Hangzhou for 10 days. Of course we still have another 6 months to go!!!!!!! On Wednesday we decided to get a cab up to the West Lake. It is a beautiful place and so we decided since we were all at home it would be a great place for a walk. Our first mistake was trusting the weather man. His idea of 45 degrees and ours are totally different. It was freezing... We put on our hats and gloves (thank god we had them in pockets!) and started to walk. Sunday 25th Yesterday and today we decided to check out the apartment complex to see what has to offer. Our building has a little grocery store in it which is great if I run out of bread and milk and need them in a hurry. There is also a maid agency just up the walkway which is something I am considering using!! I feel a little guilty hiring someone to clean for me when I'm not working but we have marble floors and there is glass EVERYWHERE. Maybe someone could come in a couple of times a week to help out!!!! I'll keep you updated. About a 5 minute walk from our building is the complex pool and gym. TUES 20th - It seems like it was a long time coming but we have finally begun our adventure on the other side of the world.....China. After months and months of being on an emotional rollercoaster involving many contract changes, visa problems and delays of every kind we packed up all our belongings and left our lovely home in Shrewsbury, MA to head east. Even though we had just shipped a lot of our clothes and other items we would need, we still managed to fill another 7 suitcases. Getting them into the car was great fun and lugging them into the airport was an adventure in itself, but we did it!!!!
