day 9...my credit card has still not arrived... i am begining to feel like i am stuck in an episode of survivor living off dodgey hostel food. anyways...the most corrupt city in South America... i have not seen too much corruption in south america although i would have to agree that this place must have itīs fair share. i decided to get out and do a bit more travel and not let the hinderance of having no accessable funds get me down. As with all australians, canadians and USA-íans we need a visa to enter paraguay...this visa cost 40 dollars US [View Full Entry]

The adventure to iguazu has been a journey in itself i jumped on a bus from BA and prepared myself for the 17 hour journey which by south american standards is nothing special... but a nightmare when you sit amongst 20 kids on there school excursion. but alas i made it and booked my trip to the argentine side of iguazu straight away. I met some great canadian guys who decided they were up for it as well and joined me on my transfer out there. The day started at 8 in the park and finished at 3.30 which was our [View Full Entry]

Ok this week has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions and it isn’t quite sorted yet but things are looking better. Since my last entry in Punta Del Este I met up with Rafael and we headed off to the beautiful La Paloma I cant believe there is no entry for it’s location in the travelblog as it is by far the best location I visited in Uruguay. We got a bus from Punta to Rocha and then from Rocha to La Paloma where we were looking forward to setting out tent and checking out the town. So we walked into [View Full Entry]

To start let me just say Punta del este is one crazy place. Ok since my last entry i spent 2 days in a nice beach town called pidiapolis which was good to chill out and i basically spent most of my time on the beach and the last couple of days have been here in punta. The hostel here (mananitalis) has been packed and is 15 minute drive out of town which was good and bad. you really have to take a bus every where unless you are off to the beach where you can just walk...anyways i met more [View Full Entry]

I met a brazilian guy equally interested in my desire to visit the stadium (rafael...sorry about the spelling) and headed out there [View Full Entry]
