Other than one year when I was seven, I have lived in Alberta all my life. The prairie landscape is my home and, the mountains, my cathedral. The prairies with their vast open spaces and clear skies declare the world is full of boundless opportunities and freedom. The mountains ground my soul and speak to my smallness, my brief existence. In a world that pushes us to be more, get more, do more -- the mountains are there to remind us of our reality.
