About a year ago, my nephew announced he was getting married -- in Ireland! Plans were set in motion and a trip was born. This trip also coincides with our 30th Wedding Anniversary on August 22nd. The name of our blog, Two of Us, comes from the song we chose for our first dance -- Two of Us by Supertramp. The words are as meaningful today as when we first heard them. They resonate with all travelers -- whether they be travelers in the lifelong journey of marriage or travelers of the world. We are all just "specks of sand". The world is a stranger to all. It brings wonderful surprises, uncertain times, challenges, and opportunities -- the foundation on which all dreams are built (and sometimes destroyed). Journeys, whether across a continent or down the road of life are where we change and grow. We are faced with exciting and sometimes difficult questions -- "Where do we go?", "What will we discover?" No matter the answer, a fundamental truth shines through -- a journey is always better when shared. David and I have journeyed together for 30 years, and God willing or whatever Universal Being chooses to care, we will continue to do so for many more. This blog is our invitation to you to share in our journey.
