I LOVE your blogs! Sorry to hear that the Jasper leg of your trip wasn't great but when the going gets tough, the tough get going!! Good to see you three all still smiling on the Suspension Bridge albeit soggy.
Maligne Lake can be nasty. That's where we got caught in a snowstorm while kayaking last year!
Hope your tooth is OK : )
Bring on the Canada eh? Strangely, a few years ago when I was disembarking the plane to Cuba, every single person had a huge box or two of timbits with them to give family members. It was oddly weird. I know for next time!
Travellers Cheques AmEx travellers cheques used to be the way to travel the world. I'm wondering if, except for a one or two countries in S-E Asia, you've
found them to be difficult to deal with as myself, esp Europe and Latin America? AmEx offices that deal in currency exchange seems
to be a vanishing breed.
world traveller I liked reading your blob. Interesting thoughts. It was a wise idea to write about these issues. Thank you. Love from Argentina. Graciela.
viva mexico hahahahaha I found this blog be mere chance, Im a mexican and I found it hillarious you got hit up like that hahahaha also Im intrigued by the lack of details of what happened in the house =P fun, very fun.
And yes Guadalajara and all the nearby towns are extremely interesting and pretty
Jealousy I am so jealous of anyone who was able to go through this experience. I've loved elephants since I was a young girl (I wasn't even old enough to speak) and something like this would be the most phenomenal thing I could ever imagine. I love this entry by the way! Elephants are the most beautiful and amazing creatures in the world to me. Gah. I hope you guys loved every single second and never take it for granted.
funny! loved the story about Salvador! I'm a sucker for puppies too but not sure I'd follow a man to his house to see them.. be careful!! It looks lovely there and I think I'll have to save up my pennies for when we (eventually) go as I am really feeling the local artist shop too... I need some of those figures!

You went with a man who said he had puppies?? I'm sure every five year knows not to fall for that one!!
A very entertaining blog! Thanks for the welcome break from my lesson planing. :)
a day in a life of a canuck Dear Canucka. I think they may have pulled one over on you with the buying of cumpleanos drinks. lol But telling the taco stand man you have a novio is hysterical. I blushed for you.
We are two liberally minded, non religious, officially homeless and jobless bums out to see the world! Our passports are good for a few more years and one can live for long time on Kraft Dinner - or the African and Asian equivalent!
We have decided that after 24 years and only ever leaving Canada once, it's time to jump off the deep end and travel the world. We'll hit up South America, Africa, Europe and Asia, and the plan is to just go with the flow and see and do whatever our little hearts desire! Departure is October 2007 and we'll return sometime in October 2008... full info
