thanks I am headed to Argentina in a couple of weeks for the entire winter. Have been doing a little research, came across this site and your entries. Wanted to say thank you because I have found them helpful as well as amusing.... except for the robbery part. Well, I can't lie- helpful yes, but, amusing, no. Safer travels to you both
hey! Glad to hear you guys are having a good time! And your pics look pretty good to me even if the camera isn't exactly what you wanted...guess you can only find that in Canada :)
stay safe Happy to hear you have gotten over the culture shock. Keep your eyes open, money in your belt, bags locked always and enjoy everything you can take in. This is a trip of a life time! We are back from India which was fabulous. The same rules apply there. Look for other North Americans to hang out with! Love always, your sister Sieka
karin! we thought about you when we were there too, because of all the birds EVERYWHERE (i remember you used to have books about birdwatching sitting on the window sill in the kitchen). MISS YOU!
Luv Ya So glad you are doing good and staying optimistic after that loss, Sorry , but I'm glad you didn't get robbed at gunpoint. Take care my honey's and stay positive about the good people there.
Love" yo Mama"
omg mia ... you have no idea! i was trying so hard to be a trooper, but i still ended up in tears at the airport and all these people were looking at the stupid gringo ... ugh! when we get to peru we will get another one ... and you are right ... passports, money and camera are officially glued to us now! (it could have been worse ... the passports were in the room too!)
crappy!!! Man, that sucks!!! I am sure you guys were devastated! But, thank God that there are nice people out there still eh??!! I guess from now on the money and camera won't be leaving your side! Glad that your aren't going to let this ruin your trip though. Hope you take lots of pics at the Galapagos!
I know how you feel! Hey, we know how you feel about the people butting in when you are trying to take a picture!! We had that in Costa Rica all the time---they have no sense of respect for other people it seems like!
Hola Glad to hear that you're safe and doing well. WOW!! What an adventure...I'm envious!
Chubbies doing fine and still loves his old room. He and Finnigan play and thunder back and forth through the house. Love you both!!
hey! we saw some white necked herring and some dolphins ... the dolphins only showed up on day 5 though! :( and spiders. and moths. i wanted to see some tucans and maybe some panthers and a hippo or something ...
yay! Hey, glad you made it!! Sounds like quite an experience! Did you see any interesting wildlife on the trip..I mean other than people who were way to close to you :)
yay! Toilet paper! Sounds like that will be an experience for sure! I am sure you will be really close to someone after those 5 days - and in more ways that 1 hopefully :)
We are two liberally minded, non religious, officially homeless and jobless bums out to see the world! Our passports are good for a few more years and one can live for long time on Kraft Dinner - or the African and Asian equivalent!
We have decided that after 24 years and only ever leaving Canada once, it's time to jump off the deep end and travel the world. We'll hit up South America, Africa, Europe and Asia, and the plan is to just go with the flow and see and do whatever our little hearts desire! Departure is October 2007 and we'll return sometime in October 2008... full info
