Well everyone, we actually made it to another continent. After saying goodbye to the satellitte tv and leather couches of the Kunas house, Jord and Dave boarded the train to Vienna for one last night in the western world. They quickly viewed the main sights of town, ate some schnitzel, and went to bed early in preparation for a full day of travel. The next morning they made to to the airport and managed to catch the 6 hour plane ride to Doha, Qatar. Upon leaving the plane and walking to the airport they realized that it was possibly the hottest, [View Full Entry]

Hey everyone, just a short entry. Now that we've had the time and computer to do it, we've both uploaded our pictures onto Facebook. If you don't have facebook get someone to bring them up for you and have a look, hopefully there's nothing too incriminating in them! Also we're headed to Vienna tomorrow for a night and then it's off to Mumbai, so the next time you'll hear from us we'll be struck down with a bit of the Delhi Belly and hopefully trying to put off the usage of Indian table manners (left hand, right hand) for as long [View Full Entry]

The whirlwind tour of Europe continues, and this time we've had an African along for the ride. So after staying in Milan with Frank Morris, Jordan and Dave made the short train journey down into Florence. Florence itself was incredible, it has to be the most medieval town in Europe. After a couple of days of culture, David met David and realised there must be something in the name David and having outrageously chiselled bods. For anyone that goes to Florence any time soon we also strongly recommend going to the Michaelangelo Piazzale at night there, one of the best views [View Full Entry]

OOOkay made it even farther south to Italy and after four nights staying at people's houses we've realized how much better it is than hostels. From the last entry we spent one more night in Paris, splurging by going to the famous Relais L'Entrecote for diner. They only have one item on the menu, two steaks and a plate full of fries, but the secret sauce made it one of the top three meals of the trip. This is mentioned because the next night in Paris waiting for the train, Jordan decided one item on the menu that looked like a [View Full Entry]

Hey everyone, sorry for the big delat between messages. Currently we are in Paris, and typing this from an internet cafe in Versailles. Since the last entry a lot of ground has been covered. We went to the Berlin Zoo and saw Checkpoint Charlie, a real highlight for dave as a international relations major. He wouldnt stop talking about the important political history of the place, no matter how much he was asked not too. Then we took the slowest train in the world to amsterdam with only our new favorite game, guess the tourists nationality, to keep us occupied. Once [View Full Entry]

Happy Birthday Dave, lets go to a... Nazi death camp. After an awesome time in Riga, we took a horrible bus journey through to Warsaw. Full of Poles and Latvians, we managed to make a quick stop in Lithuania (Dave's old stomping ground) and end up in Warsaw, for about 10 minutes. Due to some very bad reviews from friends in Riga, and what we saw when we first headed in on the bus, the concrete was too much so we caught a quick train to Krakow. Definitely the nicest city we've seen in Poland (out of two), we spent our [View Full Entry]

Last night in Riga and we figured that we'd definitely have to add a new entry before we catch the bus to Poland tonight. After the worlds craziest ferry trip, we managed to arrive safely in Riga and after a much needed nap, caught a few of the sites that Riga's old town has to offer. Basically alot of parks, Orthodox Churches, and bridges that have locks all over them (cool little Latvian marriage tradition). Friday night was spent out with some people in our hostel, 3 aussies, one austrian, and one spaniard, all really cool people. We even managed to [View Full Entry]

Hey everyone, since our last entry there have been many exciting events. After leaving Carl in Skovde we took the train to Goteburg and did the usual touristy boat rides, sightseeing things. There is a massive zoo in the center of town with a zoo, animal rides, patios and a frisbee gold course that jord gave dave a free lesson on. The operater even told him, and this is a direct quote, "You should keep playing, maybe one day you could be Canadian world champion." Dream big folks. After seeing three cities in Sweden we have reached a few conclusions, 1) [View Full Entry]

Well we finally made it across to Sweden, apologies for the lateness of this blog entry surprisingly internet cafes are hard to come be in Sweden. After arriving on Wednesday in Stockholm, we dont think our jaws have closed, and it hasnt been the architecture or history that weve been amazed at. At least we know why were so good looking! Anyways back to Stockholm, while staying in our hostel in the Old Town (look it up!) we spent our first day taking in the sights, smells and girls that Stockholm has to offer. Deciding to get a hop on hop [View Full Entry]

First blog entry. We hope you all are happy. This is being done on a European keyboard and is taking forever. After four long great years in Birmingham, Dave´s time in the UK has come to an end for now. After a visit from Mom and one last Vodbull session we said our goodbyes and made our way down to Laaaaaaaaandon to stay with the bald broker himself, Mark Hoffmann our soon to be rich sugar daddy who has managed to get time away from selling his soul to the devil and join us for the eastern european leg of our [View Full Entry]
