The best thing in Lombok is everything is cheap. We spent only about US$ 300 for our 3-day & 2-night trip except the airplane tickets. We ate a lot, drank a lot, took a snorkeling tour, had spa massage, bought some souvenirs,,, what else??? Maybe that’s about it. Actually you don’t have to spend a lot as long as you stay inside of the hotel facility, because you don’t have many things to spend on. Eating, drinking, swimming, and sleeping are probably the activities you do at the hotel. Yes, the place is definitely for relaxing to enjoy the slow time of Indonesia. Lombok Island is right next to Bali Island. Everything is slow and mellow on this rural island. It’s much much less commercial and touristy and much much better to spend your leisure time than Bali is. Yufuin (http://www.yufuin.gr.jp) in Oita Prefecture is one of the most famous and popular onsen (hot spring) resorts in Japan. It’s quite close to Mt. Aso. Thank you all for giving us your warm words regarding the earthquake disaster of Japan. Fortunately all of my family and friends are alright. Actually there wasn't a lot of damage in the Tokyo area. But the northern part of Japan was horribly damaged because of the tsunami attacks and there are still tons of missing people and evacuees. All we can do is just pray for them. I experienced the huge quake which hit the city of Kobe 16 years ago. I was there when it happened. I totally understand how the people feel in that damaged region.
