A magical tour of rediscovery Europe » France » Ile de France » Paris By Timmy P June 4th 2007 Tim Paterson So it was off to Paris for the long weekend which was dubbed 'The Magical Tour of Rediscovery' ..... and with a quality crew of 50 peps it was always going to be a goodie and a goodie it was ......... Paris is awesome ....... Basically Full on Old Skool and Im goin thru a bit of a Old Skool stage at the mo so was lovin it. Yep, this is it ....... The South Island of New Zealand which still holds my number one spot as the best place Ive ever been to. The scenery is amazing, the people are seriously friendly and its the adventure capital of the world ....... so if you havent been here then prepare to be amazed and get ya ass over here ...... I gaurentee u wont regret it. Ok, this blog could take the record for the biggest Travelblog ever ...... hope ya got some time ..... haha So it was off down South with Steph and first stop was Christchurch to see my grandparents which was awesome, then we cruised to Wanaka and spent a couple a days there with some family ...... First up I had some issues with my first NZ blog, so if ya didnt see it then hit the previous journal button aiiiight. Ok, so after being away for so long I definately have a new found appreciation for NZ, it's beauty and its people. This place is awesome and Im stoked to be a kiwi. So after Christmas it was off up North to a Bach at Mangonui which Ju and Abbey had hooked up ..... Nice one Ladys. While here we sampled some of the best fish N Chips in the world and watched a couple a 2 metre sharks cruise around below us as we ate ....... perfect. Sweet As ........ After a year and a half of cruising around the world, eating really badly, sleeping very little, and generally neglecting all things healthy it was back to Auckland to catch up with my Fam and get pampered with some seriously tasty food and all things good. So first up, a big Thanks goes out to my olds for spoiling me so much and helping my broke ass out ......... You guys are awesome. Which meant that my time in the most beautiful country in the world was always going to be awesome. So after San Francisco, Jime and I had a bit of time ........ sweet ....... so it was off to Vegas. I had an appointment here with 'my list of things to do before im 30' and Jime was keen to check it out, so a road trip to Vegas was the call. After an amazing 4 hour drive thru the scorching desert, Vegas jumped outta nowhere ....... Crazy ..... 3 hours of desert then Vegas ....... Woooooo Dude. After a not so quick drive up the main drag I realised my perception of this place was screwed, I was totally blown away, so flippen big and everything had so much money poured into it ....... Alright, so after a awesome time in Mexico it was back to Pauls pad in LA for a couple a days in the California sun. L.A is awesome, very different to what I expected and so damn much to do and see it aint funny. Anyways, Russ was only with us for another day so we cruised to this wicked go cart complex which was epic ...... so American ....... they had drag strips and drag cars and grunty as cars and cool tracks ....... good times dudes. Then it was off to Hollywood before dropping Russ to the Airport with a matter of minutes to spare in usual Russ style ...... So said goodbye to Russ ........ Wooooooo Dude ...... I cant believe Im starting a series of Blogs from North America. It was never in my plan to cruise here but some big draw cards enticed me. Paul Dawson and Russell were in town and a road trip thru Mexico with the boys in a Chevy rental was way too good to miss out on. We were also graced by the company of Amber (Pauls girlfriend) and Jimena (Russ's Argintinian friend) who are awesome and made for a kickass road trip crew. Haha .......... it wasnt long before Russ's presence was felt ....... as we approached the Mexican boarder he realised he forgot his passport (Koozer much) and we wernt turning back ..... haha ..... so the plan was to smuggle him back into the states ........ hmmmmmmmmm ....... could get interesting. ... read more
Yo Yo ....... So its been a while and I aint really done any travelling but it's time for an update. London has been awesome, this place rules in summer and has a wicked atmosphere. Was so stoked to be here for the world cup, the English live for football and ultimately the world cup so London was the perfect place to be to soak it up. I had a TV on the end of my desk at work and basically watched every single game ....... so stoked. Also had plenty of people come and visit which has been cool and we have continued to be capulated by the London nightlife which has meant not alot a sleep but heaps of good times. Yo ................ so our friend Sas from Andorra paid us a surprise visit last week ......... then invited us down to Bath for the weekend. This was wicked as Me and Big Russ had been keen to get down there for a while and Sas is cool so it was on. After a few beers and a funny train ride we arrived in Bath which is one seriously old skool Roman town with heaps of young people and a cool as vibe. That meant an awesome night out on the town with Sas and her friends. We arrived home at the early hours of the morning to Sas's Mum and Ash's girlfriend who had waited up for us ........ classic ........ and cooked us a tasty feed ...... yeeeeah. After six months of the freezing winter, and in my whitest state ever, I was totally keen for the beach .............so a boys weekend to Newquay at the South West of England was the call ...... ....... I must admit I was a little ambitious thinking that it would be sunny and warm but we still hit it and was so good to get to the beach. Anyways, our travel and accomodation came in the form of Paul and Daves massive Ford transit..........A few matresses in the back and our accom was sorted........That turned out to be a great move as our 5 hour journey turned into nearly 24 hours.
