The Day That Dawns
Hi Tim, Sue, Megan and Bruce, Thought i might send my favourite thought! The Day That Dawns "I think over again my small adventures, my fears, those small ones that seemed so big, all those vital things I had to get and to reach, and yet there is only one great thing: to live and see the great day that dawns, and the light that fills the world" We cant wait to hear the unedited version of your adventure! love Sue and Col

Moremi
Hi Tim Barbs and I were at Moremi a long time ago - 1986 - and it was the best place we went to on a Vic Falls to Maun trip. We camped at 3rds bridge. Sounds like the same bridge is still there. We did a trip to Xaxanaka and had a great day of birding. I remember Malacite Kingfishers being prolific. Also saw Roan antelope, Buf, Lions - we had 22 scrapping over an impala kill about 1 km from our tent - and a pack of wild dogs. Your Hyena"s grandmother actually walked through our group sitting in camp chairs around the fire on its way to the rubbish tip. Now, about next year..... I had to have a blood pact witnessed by a JP and forwarded to the Commander about a road trip around the top end of Aus next year. Looks like you will be doing a lot of travelling! Barbs and I will be in Durbs from 1/9 to 20/9. I am not sure if you are back. Tegs on 2/9 I believe Cheers Cock

hi from Hershey
Hmm - the mystery of the missing number plates? Sounds like something Botswana's famous Mma Ramotswe of the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency could solve for you! Enjoyed the last two blogs and was happy to hear that you gained entry past the irate and insulted gatekeeper. You are right - a sumptous feast was held that night coutesy of the Elliott party. The photos are gorgeous - loved the giraffe. Love from us both, Jeanette and Julien

Hi Tim - Have been drawn into your writings --- so much so that I have lost track of time and will be late for a meeting with Craig Dingles!! Regards to Sue and my folks please. Hope that my Dad's back is OK? Have been doing a bit of fishing lately off my ski --- not much success. But more chance of catching a fish than sitting in my office. All's good in Durbs! Connor

Bliss!!!
Wow, it truley sounds MAGICAL there in Africa! Your descriptions once again have me right there with you guys (I wish!). Although we are not so hard done by ourselves: at present we are at the beautiful unspoilt coastline of Cape st Fransis; a real gem of a place. After sorting out a bee problem in my parent's bathroom (where else but Africa-gotta love it!) we got settled into their lovely beach home -away- from -home. Please send my love and big thanks to my special parents. I am so glad they have such good friends to travel with! ENJOY...CARPE DIEM!!! Love Amy

Elephants and sunsets
Dear Tim and Sue - Tim your writing is good but the photos you have taken Sue rule! That sunset scene and the elephant pics bring Africa straight back into my heart and a lump into my throat. It is very interesting to see development happening - the first ingredient is peace. Hope to see you in August - looking forward to catch up. Happy travelling.

Hi from Hershey
Really enjoying each blog chapter as it arrives. Life in Hershey Pennsylvania seems very tame somehow. Tim, those two fish in today's blog looked pretty big to us. Hope your shoulder is feeling a little better Sue. It will probably take a while to heal. Loved the description of the "girl's" excursion to Kasane, and the spectacular photos of that elephant. Love from us both, JandJ

elephant whisperer
Catching up on your blogs. I just couldnt put that book down. What an awesome human being he is!!! Such persisitence and love for these special creatures. I just love them so much...maybe its because of their enduring dedication to family and values such as those pointed out by Lawrence anthony in the book. I cried so much at the end..contacted him via email and his reponse was swift and very very special. Regards denise

Hi to you two travellers you are certainly making us feel very envious!! It looks and sounds wonderful and Tim I have also read the elephant whisperer and agree it is great and should help to quell Sues worries!! I have just got back from a 5 day hike from Msikaba to Port St Johns with 8 other girls. Truly a superb experience with outstanding scenery. So all the best to you both, hope the tigers bite soon.
