Rob took me to Perth international airport and we arrived there for 9:30am I was able to check in at 10am. Flight departed at 12:15 on time. Arrived in Singapore and was first off the plane as the seat was next to the exit. The pilot advised temperature is 32C so cooler but the humidity is high as you felt it as soon as the plane door opened. Cleared customs and then got the first taxi since I left the UK to the Royal Peacock Hotel based in the china quarter. Did not feel like much to eat due to travelling so thought could get a basic rice dish no luck could get fish heads, or live frogs and they look awful. found a shopping centre and that had a burger king so went there and ... read more

I was upearly today and caught the 8:20 bus into Perth, I had a dentist appointment at 10am and he checked the temporary filing and said that it was ok and the odd ache is either the tooth is senstive or the root. He advised that he would not replace the filling as they can last for upto 2 years and if he replaced it it may cause more problem if it is the root. I then had a couple of spare hours then went to the travel doctor re maliria pills he advised that the areas that the tour is going should be ok so no need to take any. He did advise if I got syptoms of Malaria then I could get the pills there and they will cure if caught early ie within ... read more

Today is a very late start as the first place we are due to go is the Royal Flying doctors (RFDS) base in Kalgoorlie. We arrived at the base at 10am and was shown a film and then had chance to look around but could not see the plane as it was out on a call. The RFDS is a charity and does not charge for taking patients. We then followed the golden pipeline trail which is a water pipe from Perth to Kalgoorlie. We then took a short cut which meant a drive of 2 hours down an unsealed road. We then arrived at our accommodation which was a cabin at Hyden or Wave Rock. We went to look at Wave Rock which is a rock that look likes a big wave then we went ... read more
