Live Oaks at De Leon Springs

Day 1: Arrived in the Sunshine State to meet the heat and gear up for some fireworks extravaganza. Headed over to DeLeon Springs with Mickey prior to the 4th to cool off from the 100 degree + days. We went to step into the springs and we were greeted by dark clouds and rumbling thunder. The park rangers shut things down after lightning showed up. Saturday Night Farewell

We may not have went far, but we've made it out of Wilmington! After two days of packing and two nights of unexpected farewell parties, we are now in Florence with a bad starter in our truck. We will be back on the road by Thursday (we hope) and on our way to Florida! We hope to keep this blog going so everyone can keep up with us and we look forward to hearing suggestions on places to go and sites to see while we are on the road. Take care everybody!
