Yesterday, Tommy, Ryan and I were able to play in a soccer game organized by the language school Angie is attending. We gathered, along with 12 others, on a hard-surface field much like a basketball court in the middle of the city. On our way over to the field, we saw a sign indicating that the temperature was 37 degrees Celsius, which is 99 Fahrenheit. I don’t think the air temperature was actually that hot, but it was at least that hot on the playing surface. We had quite an international group playing. In addition to we three Norteamericanos, there were guys from Spain, Holland, England, Sweden, Japan and Brazil. Tommy and Ryan were the youngest players, and I was easily the oldest.
