We had some free time after our hard day of sight seeing so Art and I retired for lunch out the front of the Pantheon… so very harsh!!! We went out last night to a night club called the Red Garter, there were plenty of sleazy men there and I was happy enough to go home the earliest! We had our guided tour of Florence starting in Piazza Signora and we saw the massive Neptune Statue which is in the middle of a fountain. Also in the Piazza stands a replica of the famous 'David' statue which now sits where the original one stood when unveiled on the 8th September 1504. Arrived in Nice and it's an amazing pristine beaches, I'm sure this is where all the beautiful people live... they really should do something about the pebbles on the beach!!! no sand!! All the famous people holiday here and it's easy to see why! Private jets fly over all the time. We love Nice and think we'll be very happy here!!!! There were a few really sick people on the bus this morning after a big finish in Paris... 5 people were late for the bus. Two of the guys ended up being 30 min late - they were lucky the bus waited.... We stopped on the way and bought some stuff for a picnic. Art & I got some amazing bread, cheese, ham and strawberries and were pretty much the only ones who bought wine, but hey, what's a picnic without wine?! We Walked back up Avenue Des Champ Elysees, the most famous street in Paris, we had a coffee on the street for 5.50 Euro, The Café’s charge more depending where you sit in the café, but you can’t pay for the location we were at!! Next on to Loch Ness which is the deepest body of water in the world and also the most famous. The water is very dark and you can't see 10 foot in front of you. The rain washes the colour our of the peat on the hills and into the water. In the depths of the Loch lives cannibalistic trout called Ferox, which have been known to grow up to 2.54m long and 68kg. Well my plane touched down in Edinburgh and i was greeted by sunny weather and had to remove my jumper which made a nice change!!! Today my tour guide Adam was well prepared and well organised and had planned a fun filled day showing off Welsh history. Adam's parents suggested that we take an umbrella to which I declined saying that I had faith that the weather would hold out (even though Adam had previously told me that we were expecting 4 days of heavy rain). Managed the tube and train ride through to Cardiff which was a pretty good trip, only took 2 hours from Paddington to Cardiff. After arriving I managed to pick the wrong side of the station to wait for Adam on! But we managed to sort it all out in the end!
