Tofo, Mozambique
a trip by Tamara Warner Minton
From: May 4th 2012
Until: June 2nd 2012
I will be living and volunteering in Tofo, Mozambique, doing research on whale sharks. The whale shark data will go to http://marinemegafauna.org/, the Foundation for the Protection of Marine Megafauna. Tofo is the home base of the foundation, Dr. Simon Pierce heads the whale shark research while Dr. Andrea Marshall devotes her time to the Giant and Reef Manta Rays. These animals are precious members of our ecosystem, and must be protected. You can find out more about the project at http://marinemegafauna.org/.
