Spectacular view I am delighted to hear that your visit to Antigua was was a memorable experience. The cuisine looks absolutley delicious and of course, where there is Liz, there is beer. The view of the volcanos are spectacular and I can't wait to see the bargains you purchased.
Fun It looks like you guys are having fun. And just be happy you had water even if it was just a drop, half of the time I spent in the Osa we didn't have any water.... thats what the ocean is for... enjoy... love Jona
OMG all those pix are making me hungry! The food looks great this time! Hope you had fun in guatemala - cant wait to see those pix! So good to see you awake and smiling this trip - not in various sleeping positions with a bug net wrapped arround you for safety!
Happy Travels
You're a cocoNUT! HAHA Hope you like the subject title! Looks like you have some nicer accomodations than when you were in Thailand! Have an awesome time!!! XoXo! Be SAFE!
NYP It's kinds lonely at night without the three of you. I've been waking up at 2:30, bright eyed and bushy tailed, waiting for the next adventure. I miss watching you hang your bug net, begging for help, even when there was NO need to hang it. Hurry back to MA. See you soon!
Hi christina,
I followed along with everyone's blog and responded but didn't realize you have one of your own. I just found it the other day ...so I have read all your entries. I know you are home now but I wanted you to know that I enjoyed your blogs as well. Great to hear another side and see some other photos. Ii is great to hear various perspectives. You took part in an amazing adventure that you will have for a lifetime. You were very brave to try the snorkeling even though you didn't go as far as the others. Not sure how far I would go either until put in that spot. You tried and did many other things that others may never do. Enjoy the remaining days of vacation before you head back to school.
Good Luck in your new class, hopefully we will see you soon to get your version of the trip.
Lucille
You did it! You faced your fear! I would be a ball of nerves about everything you mentioned, but you went ahead and did it anyway! What a great accomplishment! Have a safe trip home and I can't wait to see you!
Rambuttri Can we add to your list of fears the rat we saw this evening that you used my body as a shield against, even though it was clearly an equal match between size and strength? Can't believe we are leaving tomorrow. You did well kiddo. You are a pain in the ass, but you survived.
Nothing to fear but fear itself...? I couldn't agree more Christina very well put!
ps: as for your coffee table book. It has been done. I saw a copy in the first bookstore on your left when you turn left just after immigration at the BKK airport. It is on the left hand side of the store. The name I forget but you'll get it from the cover. Enjoy your trip home!
There is nothing to fear, but fear itself I really enjoyed your last blog, and I think you are a wonderful writer. You have been able to capture special moments throughout the trip, and have brought your readers along your journey. I am so excited to see you all. I can't wait to hear the "X-rated" versions of your stories. Have a safe trip home!
Fear is bad, but safety not so much. I am glad that you found the Thai's lack of concern for safety so enlightening. Those who do not have a choice or do not know any better may get a pass, however it is aways a good thing to use common sense. When confronted with the "ball of fear" it maybe better to ask ones self " is this a silly fear" rather than throw all caution to the wind. We all have silly fears that we should work through but we all should remember to evaluate dumb risks also. That is my lesson for the day. I love you and can't wait to have you home again.
The Truth Hurts No, we are not! AND, I haven't even gone into detail (I'm hot, I'm cold, can you hold this, can you open this, what kind of dressings, what is that). You just wait for the stories to unfold on MT!!
thank you... for taking me along with you on your journey. I loved comparing your blogs with Kristin's..totally different perspectives. I can tell through your writing that this has been an unbelievable growing experience for you. I am amazed by all you have accomplished and am excited to hear more about the adventure. All of you have inspired me.. who knows maybe next year...
I am so excited for all of you to return. I learned so much at Columbia and I cannot wait to share it with all of you! Be safe on your journey home. love, karen
I'll give you anti-Maka! I am also very excited about her trip and all that she accomplished. I am the Maka though and hence need to be concerned about her well being and all that may go wrong on a long trip to a land far far away. It's my job to be the Maka.
