Belle Ville! Wow! What a beautiful city!
Now,I am desperate to go to France. The way the houses are build are amazing,it's so much different from
other houses, beautiful windows...even though they look kind of an old-fashioned house, they still are
very beautiful!A really cool place to live...J'adore sa!!
Colmar,C'est sympa!
I fell in <3 with Prague Prague in the Czech Republic is the most beautiful, breathtaking city in the world! It's a fairytale wonderland, the food is the best, soooo rich and hearty, and the beer is really cheap! I live in Australia and have Czech background- when I went there I felt like I belonged there (one of the tourists in my tour group said it was "cellular". I am definately going back next year and staying at Hotel YASMIN again! Plus I want to buy a bigger Babooshka Doll :-D
does it exist I have to laugh about the Austrian ice cream. Living here, I am finding a lot of things 'American', that I have never seen or heard of. Hahaa
Looking back... It's strange to look back over this, a year later, and read my thoughts on Rottoerdam vs. Amsterdam. Looking back, if I were to visit one of the two cities again it would actually be Amsterdam. I don't think Rotterdam has that much more to offer while Amsterdam has so much more history. Just shows how various factors happening at the time skewed my opinions.
beautiful... Well Ive never really considered France to be place where I would like to go but after reading your travel blog and reading your journal I am definately reconsidering.
Beautifully written and I loved the pics Susin! x
More Tears! Couldn't read this without more tears - just like the last entry. What a great year you have had Susin & so many wonderful memories. Thankyou for sharing it all. I am sure there will be many other long stints in Europe for you but this has definitely been very special. Safe journeying. Love Maa xx
Yes and no It's worth it when it snows, but it snows around zero so it's never quite as cold when it snows, but around -7° and colder I'm thinking "take me home!". You also have to factor in the fact that you have so little daylight, so if you're on holidays you have to get up and about quite early. Also, you have to buy so many clothes to keep you warm... for me it was worth it, but I'm sure we'll discuss it more in A WEEK when I'm back home!
Is it really worth it??? So to the cold freak! Is the freezing weather really worth the beauty that it looks in the pics?? Really want to know, as it looks fantastic on film, but... is the cold worth it? Remeber we are thinking of going back to Europe Dec/Jan 2011 and experience similar, but is it a good idea or no? Looking forward to seeing you back here soon and hearing all about it. Love us xxxxxxxzz
I have tears in my eyes I can't believe I have read a whole year of your blog (I don't even know what 'blog' stands for!). It was so lovely seeing the snow pictures and your Christmas scenes. Thankyou for sharing your journey - I really do have tears in my eyes!!
Budapest! Love your pictures, can relate to the crowds. I am blessed to be living in the Balkans right now but had the amazing opportunity to spend a month in Hungary, Budapest to be exact. Absolutely beautiful city (two actually, Buda and Pest)like Prague WITHOUT the crowds!!!!Some of your pix look almost exactly like mine! If you can...go there. You will be glad you did. We will be going back.
No snow! No, all white stuff on market stands is polyester! Trust me, if it had been snowing everyone would hear about it!! It's been between 4-8° lately, not really cold enough for snow. I would love to have a white Christmas but I'm not holding my breath.
Another item at last! How lovely that you have had time for another visit and another item for us to read. I though I could spy white stuff on the market stands - wondering if it was snow or ice. You haven't mentioned anything about seeing snow again yet. I hope you manage to have white Christmas this year!!
At last! So lovely to get another blog update. Glad JB has his visa. It is SO different seeing the photos now that I have seen the places in reality - Just great!!! Enjoy the cold experience for like other experiences in life it will pass & hopefully turn into a lovely memory!
Wonderful blog! Hello, I just wanted to drop a note to say that I've read some of your blogs and I've really enjoyed them! I've been thinking about living in France after I graduate school and have now put Strasbourg as a place to consider. It seems so beautiful, and your photos really capture that. :)
