Journey Home- China to Australia the long way round!

My fabulous "green" backpacking trip back to Oz after 2.5 years teaching in China. Starting from my "home" in Taizhou, travelling to the north, through Mongolia, across Russia and on to Eastern Europe (Estonia,Latvia Lithuania), Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Belgium, France and across the channel to England and up into the wilds of Scotland, using trains, boats, buses but no planes!!. Final leg had to bite the bullet & fly to Chicago (on the day Obama became President of the USA the first time around) From Chicago took one of the few passenger trains across the Rockies to San Francisco and ending in San Diego before flying home. An amazing trip, with great people and where I was introduced to the wonderful concept of "Couchsurfing"
