South America- Realization of a 40year dream!!

An "oldie's gap year" backpacking in South America, something I've wanted to do for as long as I can remember.
Rough plan is to start in Santiago de Chile then move north through Valparaiso, Pisco de Elqui and onward to San Pedro de Atacama then 4WD trip across Salar de Uyuni in South Western Bolivia . Following that will then meander & cross into the Canyon Country and Andes of NW Argentina and head south through wine regions across the Andes at Mendoza back to Santiago. Second stage will make my way through the volcanic areas of Central/Southern Chile to Puerto Montt/Varas, Chiloe Island. Had planned to do Navimag ferry through fjords to Puerto Natales for Torres del Paine hike but it has been discontinued indefinitely. Apparently there's a smaller ferry, so will have to check that out. Will probably criss cross to and from Argentinian glacial region of Patagonia as I go down as far as Ischuaia. Continue up coast past Puerto Valdes and on to Buenos Aires, Uruguay for a few days, then Iguassu Falls then winding up the coast of Brazil, river boat up river from Manaus to Tabatinga,. Next Colombia (all over), Equador (including the Galapagos Islands), Peru- Macchu Picchu etc, then Lake Titicaca , La Paz, Northern Bolivia, and if time, across the Pantanal (Brasil) to Rio to finish this trip of a lifetime in "De Cuidad Marvillhosa (however it's spelled/spelt!) . BUT there's more- my final 2 months I expect to be catching up with a myriad of "old" and new travelling buddies across Europe, Anyone want to join me??? 😉
