By the time I finally surfaced and consumed the now traditional four slices of toast and a mug of coffee for breakfast, it was early afternoon. Having finally rolled back to the hostel at 2.15am, my intention was to sleep...however, the sudden arrival of horrendous toothache put paid to that idea, so instead of zzzz zing...I spent the next three hours in agony until the painkillers and clove oil began to kick in!! I have just purchased an ice pack too for my medical kit, soooo needed it earlier but the chemist wasn’t open!! The tooth has finally settled down now, fingers crossed it doesn’t worsen! I must either be in serious need of a Sat Nav or simply stark raving bonkers, because today I went out with the intention of a short walk but ended up two and a bit miles across KL in Times Square. It's basically a small shopping / leisure and cinema complex and today I just happened to arrive whilst they were setting up a stage for what appeared to be a local boy band...average age of 11 by the looks of things. Today's expedition saw me heading out to the KL Bird Park, a possible location for the 'Fantasy Bird Bath' Idea I am working on featuring celebs including Denise Van Outen and Ali Larter, sitting in a hot tub!!! It is an amazing place, because you are at one with nature underneath a net canopy...but you are forever running the risk of getting wiped out by a low flying feathered friend, indeed, I found myself having to take evasive action on several occasions!!! I surfaced at 10.50am, just in time for brekkie with Jo and Richard and today we actually met a few other fellow hostel guests which was kinda freaky coz until now, it felt like we had been rattling around the place on our own...though obviously we hadnt!! Its Christmas Eve, I spent the majority of the morning wandering around Chinatown and Central Market. There was a Hiro Nakamura Lookalike on the LRT train today...I have never wanted someone to suddenly yell 'T Dah' so much in my life and the 'Heroes' theme day continued with my 'non time bending' arrival at Burger King for lunch. The BK advertising slogan is 'have it your way' but the options advertised in the restaurant didn’t cater for my desire to have my Whopper served up on Ali Larters naked body...that's the way I wanted it!!! I discovered today something else that winds me up...People who Saunter!!! Ok, I am a tourist in a far away land and I have no idea where I am going most of the time, however, what I lack in sense of direction is usually counterbalanced by my ability to manoeuvre myself at speed along the pavement. This morning, thinking quite wrongly as it turned out that it was less humid, I got the LRT to Dang Wangi in order to visit...and scale the KL Tower!! On hitting the revolving restaurant and observation deck, I suddenly thought...its a stupidly long way down there and I am balanced way up here on basically a pretty wide pole...Its just wrong! Its not until you look across at the Petronas Towers rising above you that you realise just how tall these things are...to be honest, I was quite relieved to get my feet back on terra firma!!! This morning, I woke up with a churning stomach and feeling really nausius so I spent the vast majority of the daytime in my room resting. Its so humid too right now which is adding to my discomfort...hopefully this is just a passing bug!! Maybe it was the Egg Macmuffin!!! This morning I hopped on the LRT train to KLCC (which cost me about 35p to travel 4 stops) to view the Petronas Twin Towers...first observation, Ok Where Are They??? The Station exit was directly below them so of course stepping outside onto the street...the first thing I did was go for a wander looking for them (hehehe silly me), it wasn’t until I looked directly upwards (cricking my neck in doing so) that I realised where they were...obviously someone had moved them huh!!!
