Yep, that's where I am. And Im on the cusp of leaving on my bike ride down to Toronto. And its sunny, and Im full from an amazing breakfast, and my bike has enough food on it for 3 or 4 days, and Im riding through places Ive never, ever been before. And it makes me happy. And I just (on friday) did a presentation/workshop about Otesha in a middle school, which was my first ever, outside of actually being in Otesha. And it made me feel really good. This coming weekend, I am co-facilitating a workshop about how to share environmental ideas through theatre, humour, and example, during a Peace Conference. And right before Haloween, Im doing another workshop about Otesha and the environment, which is followed by a weekend-long training session Im putting on ... read more

No I'm not going to "add" anything. But here are 3 more photos, taken since my last update. They have the internet, over here in Alberta, so I mind as well put it to use. The truck: Fricking huge. Kind of crazy to walk underneith it. Or stand in front of it. The valley: So, this last Thursday, myself and my teammates had a day off, in Fernie. We rode a little over 100km the day before, so we threw in a rest day into our scedule to keep from killing us all. And my, what a rest day in Fernie it was. We decided the best form of relaxation was to climb Mt Fernie in the morning, before our performance that day. Here we are on Saturday, and my quads now hurt even more than ... read more

Yipee! Photos finally! Feast yer peepers! Well well. Its been a very, very long time since Ive posted. But here they are, here I am, and wow, am I having a really great time. Such a great time, Im actually out of time.. but I should have just enough to outline our route. From Penticton where my last pictured post was sent in, we rode North to Kelowna, and then back south through Penticton to Osoyoos. From there we climbed Anarchist's Summit, over to Grand Forks. From there, it was off to Christina Lake, followed by the lovely section of the Trans Canada Trail to Castlegar. Then on to Nelson, followed NE by Harrop and Proctor, then down one of the most beautiful lakes in the world to Creston. From Creston, we went up and over ... read more

Hello. After uploading nearly 30 photos, my energy is nearly depleted. Have no fear, my love for my newfound family and riding crew is not. Im generally having a really amazing time. Its great seeing both the good, bad, and ugly sides of everyone. We all love eachother very much. Never have I been so close with so many people at the same time. We are a roving family, we are a wandering community, we are a mobile army of happy go-lucky do-gooders. And do-gooders we are. By spreading the word about epic things like fair-trade coffee, sweatshops, ethical clothing, and resource conservation, we're helping change the world a person at a time. And every little bit sure does count. Last night, we did our 40 minute performance in downtown Penticton. We had an audience of ... read more

So here I am. Im sitting in a small Motel, in Harrison Hotsprings, BC. My Otesha group and I are camped about 8km from here, in Sasquatch Provincial Park. We've been having a great ride so far. Travelling on bike has yet again proven to be awe-inspiring, even moreso with a group of people like my Otesha family. We are a group of diverse, strong-willed, hearty travellers, all with different strengths and weaknesses. We support one another, stand behind one another, care about one another. We are a family, a community, a team. Together, we go through hardships and high times, hot days and hilly ones, buggy nights and early morn's. Despite our diversity, our focus is unanimous; create positive change on our planet by inspiring those we encounter to do the same. We're really like ... read more
