Well People, sorry I haven't updated this on a while but I was nearly going to give up on it all during the last month. All will be explained in time. My first thought when I got into Kathmandu was 'What the fuck happened this place?!' The infrastructure of the place was shocking. Well that's adios to Delhi, New Delhi, Old Delhi, or whatever the fuck they call it these days. More on that later. Most of my time in Delhi was spent in the hostel, just chilling and getting my bearings about me, or at least trying to. Just lay about relaxing and having a few Kingfisher (surprise surprise!). Well people, as you can probably see by now; I'm landed safe(?) and sound in Delhi. Not too much to report from the trip over. No exciting stories to tell like the person that was sitting next to Richard Reid on their plane journey over the Atlantic. Heathrow was a bit of a bore until I got my bags checked in and was able to let loose in the bar. Four sixty a bottle?!!! Howdy folks! Well here I am 3 weeks before my travels and still no Visa, even though I have booked my return flights (tut tut!), getting used to using this blog craic. And it doesn't seem too bad - yet. Basically the plan is to fly to New Delhi and make my way to Kathmandu in Nepal by train and bus. From there fly to Lukla, which is where most people start their ascent to Everest Base Camp. Climb to EBC and down again, hopefully still intact.
