| 7th January 2009 Irene | What a Fantastic and Unforgettable Journey! - From: Brisbane Wow! Somala, you go girl!!! Bungee jumping?! Incredible!!! I wish I could have been there with you to watch and try it out! What a thrill it must have been for you. Your honeymoon has been the best adventure that I have ever heard about. Photos of you are cute. Especially the one with the koala bear. He/she looks like a cuddly baby. You and your husband will cherish these memories for the rest of your life. You win a big gold star for the most awesome travels I will probably ever hear about. And again, sorry I couldn't make it to the wedding. I know I missed a great party just hearing about it from you. And again. . .CONGRATULATIONS!!! |
| 15th November 2008 Somala | - From: Queenstown well.. hang gliding i had no idea what to expect so it was a little bit easier for me to do. it was sort of.. we are going to do WHAT! by that time it was too late lol. the bungy was crazy.. still can't believe i did it. still trying to muster up the courage for a sky dive. i thought i was ready but still freaked out! |

| 10th November 2008 Dana | When I grow up . . . - From: Queenstown I want to be just like Somala!!! =D Fearless. Well, fearful but willing to overcome it, which I believe is the definition of courage. My stomach started tensing up just reading about your adventures. Hang-gliding I'd definitely try. Bungy, not so sure. |
| 6th November 2008 Somala | =) - From: Te Anau & Milford Sound glad your enjoying our blog... the exchange rate is .6 |
| 6th November 2008 Dana | - From: Te Anau & Milford Sound Glad to hear you decided to drive. I've heard NZ has some of the most scenic views. Your description reminds me of Great Britain. How are you adjusting to the Kiwi accent? And what's the exchange rate like over there? Better, worse, or just about same for Americans? NZ is definitely on my list of top destinations to visit. |
| 6th November 2008 Linda | It sounds breath taking! - From: Te Anau & Milford Sound Love your descriptions, it sounds so lovely. Retard American drivers, hahahah! I know I would be doing the same things. Enjoy! |
| 6th November 2008 Marvin | Still Learning the "ropes" re: Blogs - From: Te Anau & Milford Sound I added a comment, but put it on a previous entry. Sorry. Dad |
| 6th November 2008 Marvin | Thanks - From: Fiji Mainland I'm sharing your blog entries with Mom, Tim, Cheryl and Debbie; trip sounds wonderful. Thanks for taking time to write, and thanks for such well written, descriptive entries. It's almost like being there. Our best wishes, thoughts and prayers are with you. Look fwd to seenig the photos. Love, Dad (and Mom) |
| 4th November 2008 Dana | Driving on the left - From: New Zealand Go for it!!! It's not really as bad as it seems. I drove a manual all around Scotland one vacation. Driving in the city was most difficult because of the distractions - more cars, different street signs, pedestrians, etc. The rural area was easier but you had to share a single lane requiring someone to pull over to let the oncoming traffic pass. If you do rent, just ask the car rental staff whats the etiquette and if they have any advice for American drivers. =))) |
| 3rd November 2008 Dana | Happy Belated Birthday - From: Fiji Mainland what better why to celebrate than in an island paradise with your new husband!!! cheers |

| 19th June 2006 Dr Jon | pleased - From: Fishing in the Sea of Cortez I'm pleased to see that you're keeping up on your travel journals. Not many people can say that they fought with a marlin. That was a cool story. The jellyfish story was cool, too. I hope Laura is on your subscription list. |
| 1st February 2006 Prof. Pearce | OJ Bath - From: Home at last That guy sitting next to you on the plane was trying to impress you. I think his final bid for your attention was leaping over your seat to get to his seat. That's when he kicked over your orange juice. What an idiot! |
| 29th January 2006 Jon Pearce | envy - From: Anuradhapura & Sigiriya I'm enviois when I read your blog and I was with you! Where are the pictures? |
| 29th January 2006 Jon Pearce | nice job - From: End of Trip I really enjoyed reading your blog. You're lucky. Most people find it difficult to express themselves in writing. You should consider developing a habit of keeping a journal or a blog. You don't need to record only the big events of your life. Actually the small events can make better entries. Phtography is another nice touch to add to your blog. |
| 27th January 2006 mom | good for u - From: End of Trip I am glad you have a good time and did not get sick from eating food. Nice to you back home. mom~ |
