Of course I'm talking about "Diamond Tooth Gerties" Can we expect pictures from that entertaining evening? Or are you leaving that night up to our imaginations?

So glad you got to fly and see the bear with cubs. So cool. When I am reading your posts, I hear your voice. I can hear the little kid in you coming out.

I was worried
I was quite worried when I did not see a blog for 2 days. Don't do that again! The whole trip sounds so wonderful. Jan told me to read the comments, I did and I have not stopped laughing at a few. Especially our crazy Dan comments! Love the pictures! Enjoy

Spare Cameras R Us. LOL, Howard. When Jan and I come back, I'll narrow it down to fewer places and see more in depth. Number one on the list will be Susina River Lodging!

Wow
Peggy, You must be Vince's sister that lives in the mountains on NC, right? That's some wonderful country as well. Wow again. I couldn't do all the things you've done in AK if I had another lifetime. Thanks for the comments.

Trip
Bob, the pictures are great. Digital really allows one to be creative without worrying about film or processing costs, ie., the salmon. Sounds and looks as though you are having a great time, weather included. Reminds me of what the locals said to me up in Bettles, "We have four seasons here: summer, winter, almost winter and still winter." Your hiking boots will be worn out by your return.

Your blog brought back great memories!
Loved you blog to day. It brought back such wonderful memories; I can't wait to go back. I have been to AK 13 or 14 times since 1988...one of my absolute favorite places on earth. I have backpacked across a glacier in Wrangell St-Elias ... if you get a chance, take the road back to McCarthy, AK. Wonderful place...have been there 3 times. Have rafted the John's River above the Arctic Circle; have dog sledded 4 days (near John's River); have been to Nome for the end of the Iditarod (sponsor a racer); Denali is a place not to be missed; definitely worth taking the bus back!; have been to an eco-tourism lodge across Cook Inlet; have backbacked in Lake Clark National Park (awesome); have been flown in and set down in the middle of the caribou migration (incredible!)...and drove an RV up the Alcan. Then I bought an Inn in 2002 and I haven't been back to AK since. Your blog has made me yearn to go back! Thanks for the memories!

So what kind of camera?
The picture of the salmon was spectacular - well worth the waiting and getting 30 shots off before this one decided to cooperate! I hope you are heading back home... Stay safe while you're having the trip of a lifetime.

Loved my Alcan trip
Vince forwarded your blog to me as he knows how much I love Alaska and how much I enjoyed delivering an RV from the factory in Elhart, IN to the ABC RV rental company in Anchorage. One of the best trips ever...I truly envy you. Going to do it again...only this time slower!

Ribs Stopped Me
I was seriously considering climbing the nountain, but the rib injury put an end to that. Plus, I doon't know how well my cigarettes would light at 20,000 feet!

Keep Em Coming
I needed a good laugh right now. My good weather has left. It's been rainy for 2 days.

You and I are probably the only onew old enough to remember those movies. Anyway, I'm trying to steer clear of the Mounties. Bryan will be back in the winter, so he's safe for now.
