Jan-Queen of the Castle!
Jan, you have your own castle! So cool. So glad you are all having fun and being good ambassadors for the USA. I am sure you made a good impression. Glad you got to see the Rhine. I won an award at Ramstein & my prize was a helicopter tour of the Rhine. Amazing. Looks like the weather is good for you. Tschuss

How's the Beer
I don't know yet if it's stronger. It is not as carbonated as American beer, which I like. Dan's bag was 9 pounds overweight at O'Hare and he had to take some things out and put them in our carry on. What new??

How's the beer?
So is the beer stronger than here at home? Did you or Dan have to pay extra for your huge suitcases? :) Glad you all made it safe!! I'm holding down the fort here...no parties....yet! Love ya!

This Looks Huge Fun
It really is. I've always believed that if you live in a snowy winter area, you ought to find something fun to do in the winter. So many people complain about winter and cabin fever. Get out and do something--snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing dogsledding--something.

This looks Huge Fun
Gosh - and all I knew was the large fresh water coastline of Michigan's Great Lakes! Yes I have enjoyed it some - the swimming , boating and real beach fun. But this is something else. Northland outdoors snowy winter scene invites you to go outside and play. Snowmobiling appears pure Michigan outdoors fun like nowhere else.

Welcome Back
Thanks for the comment, Dr. Zoo. Yeah, unfortunately I didn't leave fast enough to get out of clearing the driveway. I usually plan it so Jan gets stuck with that job!

What A Life
I try to make every day a party, but sometimes I have to rest a day or two to keep up the pace. I don't know what it is about Jan. I get older looking every day and she gets younger. Maybe it's the exercise she gets keeping track of me.

Hi Kim
Yeah, there is some nice scener here in the midwest, but I think that the biggest reason that we stay here is that we love the true change of seasons that we get.
23rd January 2010

The scenery is beautiful. There is always a reason why people stay in the midwest.

What's with you guys
Masseuses (is that the plural of masseuse?)are scarce in most of the places we were, particularly the Rousseau Bar in the middle of nowhere. I'm going to keep looking, though.

Cool Video
After rolling over my sled in Canada a few years ago 150 miles from a dealer to fix it, I'm not quite as quick to climb hills, let alone this one. I'm becoming a better spectator than participant----but---you never know!
