The pub is only open on Sunday mornings? Haha. Only in Britain. Just caught up with your blog during my lunch break - great pictures and some very entertaining stories!
It was 2 pounds when we were there (I never got a bus pass, so I remember that CLEARLY. ugh). Now it's 2.20. It seems like a small difference, but when you're scrounging for change it becomes a huge deal. That 4.40 just for a trip to town.
Oh my gosh a reunion in Norwich would be incredible.
:*)
THANK YOU. These pictures made my otherwise very ordinary morning at work.
I'm going to suggest, completely seriously, that we hold the next reunion in Norwich.
(Also, another 20p? REALLY? What was it originally, £1.80 or something obscene like that? I caved and bought a student pass, of course, but I do remember it being outrageous in 2007.)
Great Pics Hey Sarah...we are following you and love all the pictures. Sounds as though you are right at home....We will share your adventure with everyone here. Lots of our guys are asking for you.
Gherkin Your giant cigar is the gherkin... Which is British for pickle! Kevin told me about this a while ago. Also Dad knows people who work in the giant pickle and he mom and Ben went to the top!!
Glad to hear you're having fin!
Crikey, these pictures are pretty amazing. I think I need to look further into this. Expect lots of interviews when you get back to this country and we inevitably have another UEA reunion.
Mrs. Robbins is my english teacher. I know you didn't have Mr. Browne hes new. Mr Field and Mrs Vasik? Healthy living/ drivers ed and french.
I found the last Dan Brown book that I've been looking for since i read the others and i just started band of brothers (you probably didn't even know you had that)
I didn't do much but she reorganised it with all my books- yes i get more space! and painted the inset thingy so she had to do it shelf by shelf.
Not fun? Did she make you do it too? Which books did you take?
Freshman English. Ha. Have fun with that. Do you have any teachers who were around when I was at RHS?
Shoes Usually the language thing is fine. Like today, I bought a pair of sneakers from a store where no one spoke English. I had written my shoe size on a piece of paper, I pointed to the shoe I wanted... as long as you don't need to ask anything particularly complicated, it's fine. And the vast majority of registers have a screen that displays the cost, so I just look at that when I pay.
It's just when I have a question that it gets complicated. Which is why the bookstore was nice, because I was looking for a particular book, and there was no miming involved.
books yes mom did go through your entire bookshelf, although i'm not sure if it was fun. I even found a few books to read (very helpful seeing as my english teacher had nothing)
Ha CDI is a hogwan. I have 4 groups, each twice a week. 2 elementary and 2 middle school; 3 lower level and 1 upper level. I have no say in the work they do or the work I assign. I have to follow a curriculum.
Who knows?
So do you teach a hogwan or a regular class? How many different groups do you have? Do you decide what to do in class and what work to assign or is it all laid our for you? Are you going to marry Korean or American?

Thank you! Those books are fantastic. Have you read the first 3 or did you start with that one?
