The camera permit and tourist- shame were definitly worth it for those great pictures!
Sorry about your backpack, it's really a sign of how much you've done! My friend Kevin has a duffle bag in a very similar state...
Did you get good inspiration in the HP cafe?
Wonderful Pictures! Enjoyed your blog--Hope you will have more to share. You are doing what I've always dreamed of--even if Platform 9 3/4 didn't show up!
Thank you! Am just re-reading the Cooper series. I'm a huge Google Earth user. Have always wanted to spend time in the UK, but likely never will now. Delighted to find your lovely photos of the very scenes am reading about right now! Thank you so much--from Montana.
Great Just wanted to let you know your pictures and writing is great! Ill be visiting England soon and its nice to know what its like.
cheers from vancouver, canada
In your defense, it is possible to take a car across the channel on a ferry or a train... so, technically, you could drive all the way, as long as you count standing next to your car on a train driving...
Safe travels and have a great break! Say hi to people for me! :-)
Motorcar As long as you been traveling to the UK (7th grade?) the Chunnel has been in existence, so riding in your car to France and then on to Tanzania is perfectly reasonable
I'll give you potatoes... Eoghan's in knots at the goldfish thing. It nearly pushed him over the edge when I told him you were a veggie:) I have to say I laughed myself... Very jealous of your York photos! Apparently Egbert, Wilfred and Chad are talked about by Bede. (I 'd never have had the name 'Chad' down for an Anglo-Saxon name btw...)
PS Your blog was a nice thing to read while I wait for the bus that I should've caught half an hour ago but it was several minutes AHEAD of schedule! Don't know if it applies to this situation but I bet you're glad you haven't had to write FUMBTA in a while :)
Christine's roommate made roasted chestnuts for her Thanksgiving potluck and they had chestnuts for sale in Shaws, but I really don't remember seeing roasted chestnuts before this year.
Glad you got your Sam Adams beer!
Mary Catherine and I were just talking about the "commonwealth" thing. It doesn't mean much, just a cooler place to live!
Cool castle pictures! The light show seems awesome. Great that you get to explore so much!
ha ha I can't stop laughing at the pic of Lucy and me, it looks like we've been in Honey I Shrunk the Kids, I don't remember the swing being that big :o
Bridge! Haha so I decided to name my comment Bridge! and it popped up as something I already used previously. The bridge is exciting though so I'm keeping the title. Seriously, I could look at that picture for a long time, it's so cool! I apparently have a lot of excitement about the bridge!
In other news, I'm glad it would be okay to come back to the US. Not that you would be coming here, but Boston misses you.
In other other news, I'm going to Vancouver in March, which means I will be flying, which means it is more likely that I will be able and willing to fly to see you as well (unless something terrible happens on my Vancouver flight). Woo!
your book We hope that you are saving all of these blogs as material for your book on people who write while walking ... and take extremely interesting pictures. Sarah, you are an absolutely unique and gifted person. Please don't change .... much if at all.
lush blog Sarah! Your 'hello' picture made me laugh, as did your sheep on a mountain and tea/smoke pot misunderstanding :D So glad you came to the UK and we are on the course together ...you're an hilarious American, in reply to your spoken and signed 'I LOVE YOU GUYS' yesterday ... WE LOVE YOU TOO *does the back and forth ASL 'I love you' sign which only you and your friend knew previously* xxx
