Wellington is a cute city. with loads of eateries. spoilt for choice there. definitely worth a visit is the 'Te Papa' the national museum. you could easily spend a full day here. and its free entry!!! it has so much information. Lots about the Maori cultute and about the imigrants who have come here. the holiday park which we chose to stay in is the Top Ten in the Lower Hutt. fantastic facilities but be warned, hard to find in the dark when you get of the boat!!!! Kayaking

Oceania » New Zealand » South Island » Franz Josef
we went Kayaking on this beautiful lake which was created by the glacier many many years ago. it is surrounded on one side by mountains and by rain forest on the other. the rain forest is a national park and they leave everything to nature, even when a tree falls down they just leave it there and let nature do its thing. this is a natual habitat of the kiwi bird. we spent about 3 hours on the lake and went up this tiny river through the rainforest. there was a group of about 6 of us but the guide let [View Full Entry]

FUN FUN FUN

Oceania » New Zealand » North Island » Rotorua
Mount Mauganui Just across from Tauranga is Mount Mauganui, we climbed it with Declan & Geoff. It was a beautiful sunny day; of course we took the wrong path and ended going half way around before realizing we weren’t going up so we took a short cut across some fields of sheep. The view at the top was fantastic. Afterwards we had a stroll through Tauranga and a wee drink at the seafront that evening Declan cooked a lovely dinner and yes you guessed it plenty more wine. Campervan This has got to be the best way to see New Zealand [View Full Entry]
