glad to be back in contact!! Just got your last blog today, good to get your news first hand again although I had most of your news and am aware that there are updates since then.
N.Z.looked stunning, so glad you got to see it all before you left.
So on to next chapter of your epic journey! Enjoy!!
Love,
Mam xxxx
Mad wicked awesome .....translation from American to English: very nice! We are so happy you are back on the road and putting up posts. Your stories and photos help us to deal with our travel withdrawal, especially since Jason is back in an office. Happy travels!
Glad to see the blogs are back Welcome back. Hoorah, I've missed reading your blogs, facebook updates just aren't the same. Stunning pics and as usual fantastically humorous commentary from both of you. You've brightened up my otherwise dreary Monday morning.
Nothing much has changed here, financial year end was hideous and I got horrendously drunk afterwards, luckily I wasn't too loud or obnoxious (well no more than usual as someone said to me). Amelia moved on to another firm to get her training contract and we had a good reminisce before she left, talking about the good old days when A-J, Sam, Charlie and Myself sat on a bank of desks taking the mick out of each other every day, well actually it was more like Charlie just slagging us all off, but it was funny at the time.
Anyway, must go as the clock has ticked past 9 O'clock, enjoy the rest of your journey and I look forward to the next instalment.

Nice to have the blog back. Hi Sam and Laura
Thank you for the description of Wellington - the clouds and dolphins etc. I am sorry to say we get no such descriptions from Roz, photos or anything!
We hope Oz goes well for you as well as the travel around NZ beforehand.
Anne and Phil.
Tan OMG, Laura you look like you have a proper tan going on there!!!! Sounds like your having a wonderful time!!! Keep the posts coming!!! Want to know all about the jobs!!! x x
Good grief Sounds excellent, and well written Sammy. I felt your amazement at the fish and chips, awe at Mother Russia, and anger at that bitch in the hostel. Grr.
Hope it was a good Xmas and NY for both of you. I'm now off to walk through the slush to queue in Tesco for some factory-farmed meat. Grr.
Best wishes for 2010 Thanks again for the truly entertaining blogs. We are glad you have made it to NZ safely and are set up with accommodation and job. Could you two possibly instruct Roz about use of IT in communication? We are set up for SKYPE.
Have a very happy new year.
Anne and Phil.
It is true about the wall of brie!! It's Laura back from the hair dressers. Happy Christmas everyone, have a great few weeks. We love and miss you all xxxx
LMAO The shark story had me rolling on the floor, I can just imagine you two trying to swim away as fast as you can only to find that you were near the shore anyway. The photos are amazing although the facial hair is a bit disturbing Sam!!! Looking forward to the next instalment.

Did you stay at the Aspen Suites hotel in Sukhumvit? It sounds exactly like the hotel we stayed in for Alexa's birthday: plush rooms, huge flat screen TV, pool, a breakfast buffet big to make Americans quiver with excitement, and fuzzy bathrobes. Awesome. And happy belated birthday.
Glad the sun's shining somewhere ! Hi darlings
Laos sounds amazing - and I'd gladly trade the odd numb bum for just a glimpse of sunshine. Your adventures are wonderful and we're loving the updates so keep at it ! We miss you both heaps.

Keep it coming Sam - I have sat here transported into the backwaters of Laos whilst drinking my morning coffee. I will say again, you have a gift for description and travel writing. I think I was probably calmer reading about your exploits with the moped than Chris would have been! Perhaps Roz's poor communications are a blessing. However, I am so enjoying your blogs. Keep them coming!
........ Ha ha ha!! the joy of motorbikes!! Be thankful you didnt go over the handlebars and kill a dog!! :S Laos sounds ace, The Wirral is miserable.....
Peace x

Good day everyone
It is fair to say that the passing of time merits a fresh introduction
We left old Blighty on 1 September 2009 and proceeded to make our way through Russia, China, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, before eventually reaching New Zealand on 7 December 2009.
We have been working in Wellington ever since - today as this introduction is being written the date is the 23 April 2010. However, the time for moving on has again come; we will be flying into Melbourne on 2 June armed with working visas.
We’ve got 4 weeks of travelling around New Zealand before this relocation, a... full info
