Keep this coming I am so enjoying your blog and considering you must be touch typing on a Cyrillic keyboard, you have done excellently. (This is praise indeed from a real, proper, touch typist!). This trip sounds totally wonderful and I'm following it all with great interest. Don't forget to keep all your blogs and put them together for a book! Our love to you both. Anne and Phil

Greetings from the UK!!! Hello my beautiful friends - how are you both?! stupid question you both look like you are having the best time and I know it is living up to both your expectations! The pics are fab and I am so envious! Tom and I were on our way to the met for drinks to celebrate our enagement (boring now, yawn) and we both turned to eachother and went to say the same thing - how much we missed u both and how it didn't feel the same us celebrating and you guys not being present! of course we'd rather u were in Russia - he he. i got really excited after reading your blog and i am so envious! blog again soon - i would at least like to pretend i am experiencing some of the stuff u guys are.
Nothing too exciting here, we are busy as usual with work and we are attempting to plan a wedding as well as viewings for houses to move in. Laura u were right i am gonna be so haggard by the time u see me next! ha ha! thinking of booking wedding for a year and a halfs time. Anna is head bridesmaid as you aren't here but if u can, would u be bridesmaid for me as well? i promise i will not make u wear something too ghastly!
love u guys, miss u guys.

The new Baedeker ! Sam - you certainly have the gift of travel prose : or have you perhaps taken to the native vodka with a little too much enthusiasm ?! Thanks for a really great narrative and it looks just amazing. I particularly liked the picture of Laura representing Soviet women - she was born to it. Keep up the excellent work and look after yourselves. Ken x
Photos Just to let you know that we're having trouble posting the photos due to restrictions on this Soviet-era computer
Will do our best asap
p.s. sorry about my spelling in the above

Hello It sounds fantastic - I am so jealous, particularly as the weather has been pants over here since you left.
I do feel for you with the snoring in a small space. I am off on the barge at the end of October and there are so many snorers on it I am taking ear plugs!!!
Keep enjoying yourselves and looking forward to the next instalment.

Thank you Sam Sam - you seriously need to think about being a travel writer. Here I am sitting in dear old Wallasey on Sunday morning being transported half way across Russia by your descriptions. KEEP IT UP AND DO SOMETHING WITH IT ALL WHEN YOU HAVE TIME!!! Have you read William Dalrymple? You could equal him. love to you both Anne and Phil
Home from Fowey Hi guys,
Moscow sounds crazy. Take it you have both signed up to the communist party. (I think sam is already a member! Always a red from Nottingham. Nig) Cannot wait to see the photos!!We had a great holiday in Fowey, weather mixed but managed 1 day on the beach at Polkerris, a place we found in 1975! Went there later with the macs a few years ago. Do you rember Laura?Ate far too much, home to go on diet now ( chris)
Watched Stuart Broad on Jonathon Ross last night, he looked at first like a rabbit caught in headlights, but coped with the moron in the end.
It feels strange not being able to speak to you but will get used to it. Chris promises to check her emails daily!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy the train, don't fall off the bunks!!!!!
Love you both, write again soon

Good day everyone
It is fair to say that the passing of time merits a fresh introduction
We left old Blighty on 1 September 2009 and proceeded to make our way through Russia, China, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, before eventually reaching New Zealand on 7 December 2009.
We have been working in Wellington ever since - today as this introduction is being written the date is the 23 April 2010. However, the time for moving on has again come; we will be flying into Melbourne on 2 June armed with working visas.
We’ve got 4 weeks of travelling around New Zealand before this relocation, a... full info
