Yes there was a small section of glass floor but strangly there was just a photo of what the ground looks like under the tower...maybe they regreted not visiting the CN Tower for ideas until after they built there tower?
Cycling Must have felt really great to have a good, long bike ride after being cramped up in trains. And great to have the city wall as a simple, interesting route. I wonder if they had bikes for long legs?
Great Great Wall I am quite in awe of these Great Wall photos. It looks truly spectacular. Amazing. These photos are gems to be preserved for a lifetime (and more).
Impressive! I especially loved the moody sunset pic. But it's a bit like, "all that glitters is not gold". I wish you had a smog-mask. But hey, money, money, money! xxx
Pit 2 I love your picture of Pit 2. I find myself thinking this is what the warriors all do when the tourists go home, ie collapse in a heap, all sprawled over each other, having a good rest after the whole day standing stright and still!
Interested to... I love this entry. On the summary version we get on the main page, the entry ends with "I took two Chinese Girls out for dinner, they were very interested to..." and it gets cut off at that point. I think this is brilliant. I think we should devise a game to play to come up with endings to this sentance. Any suggestions?
Proposals Mum - I can't believe you seem to be saying that marriage proposals are supposed to come from men... I thought you were a thoroughly modern Granny
Very modern Fantastic photos. I'm still catching up with the terracotta warriors and the Great Wall, so it's a bit of shock to see all this extreme modernity!
The Park around the Pagoda is well planed and its a private park so it is very well maintained...outside of the park it is not so clean but in general Xian as a city seems very well planned.
Latest Blogs BREATHTAKING! That's what your latest blogs and details of daring dos are. But also raised a smile. Was that the first proposal of marriage you have had? They are supposed to come from you but, hey, congratulations! xx
Beautiful! What beautiful and amazing places you are seeing, Sam. Hope the demonstrations are long gone from Bangkok before you get there. Travel safe, sound and happy. x
From our own correspondent? You bring us a fascinating insight - I feel I've actually shared your experience of Bejing. Michael Palin had better watch out, you could be his successor!
Wow! Fascinating stuff! Great photos especially the one of you outside the Forbidden City but sadly none of the Stranger/s on the train. Good to hear that you had a good meal! x
Popularity Sounds like you could probably get yourself a few modelling contracts there if you find yourself running out of Yuans. Glad they have good taste out there.
