Not The End
Well done, Sam! Will there be shots of Hong Kong. It has been a magical journey and I feel sure there will be others. Happy 2009. x

Cheaper flight? Hmmm, I think you wanted to meet up with those pretty girls!

Come fly with me...
Oh, yes, that croc looks ver friendly, smiling so broadly sweet thing. "Come up to see my travel photos"! That's a good line. I'm saving up loads of questions for when I see you, like: first time in a balloon? Were you the only one on the tour? xx

WOW!
This looks VERY interesting but i think Murt has distracted you, aren't you supposed to be meeting with Olly???!! I LOVE the tree hugging temples or is it the temple hugging trees?!! Those crocs look a bit mean! x

hmm, maybe I was just unlucky with who I met but I was short-changed twice in Hanoi...the amount of money is nothing but its the fact that people would try this that i find offensive. I also dont like the way they say they understand when they obviously dont, makes communication very hard. There are more reasons but i mainly put it down to their former french rulers so i guess its not their fault. As for my dirty clothes most hotels have somewhere you can do laundry or they will do it for you for a small fee

Launderette??!!
I am struck (impressed) by the pristine nature of your clothes, not bad at all after all that travelling (by train!)

A Different World
A friend and some food in Cambodia! Who could ask for more. The variety is fascinating Sam, and some big river, hey? I have high hopes of seeing the temples of Angkor soon. Awaiting with bated breath. xx

Saigon or Hanoi
I have been over Hanoi and Saigon and I love both - so friendly people with smile all time

I dont think its really changed my view, I have no plans to visit Vietnam again anytime soon. as for the ages you should always add aleast 20% to the age you think people over here look...they look very young.

Very Interesting!
It is so interesting to see the changing atmosphere of all the places visited. So they weren't all unfriendly people there, then? Perhaps they thought you had a few more dollars tucked into your underpants. Good that you got on thought, considering the length of the journey. I expect there were a lot of smiles exchanged! x

How Entertaining
50 or 60? Surely not they don't look a day over 30! The lad is cute, I bet you had fun! Were you not tempted by the dongs to accept their offer??!!x

Travelling companions
Great experience - I wonder if this changed your views of Vietnam.

Outskirts
Very good idea to get out of town - especially as the opportunity cost was low - probably you'll always see a bit more of 'real life' out on the outskirts (I'm thinking of Livpool here!). Also - I'm finding myself wondering what on earth this 'cheap food' you're hunting out might consist of!

Move on
Well, it's good to compare and contrast, I guess. (I have a friend with son and family in Vietnam and she gives a completely different rose-tinted view of it) The general public don't peer at the preserved bodies, do they? x

Han-annoying
How annoying to go from China which you seemed to love, to somewhere you seem to love quite a bit less. Still, on the bright side, it seems to be getting warmer, as you've shed your jacket.

It's a trick

Parental concern
That's a great photo of you, but I am concerned as you appear to have lost a lot of weight, the food's not that expensive is it??? I don't suppose they have soup kitchens do they? Best not hang out there for too long, take care x

Taking a hike
Brilliant idea to take a hike. Looks like you got some good views from there. So, goodbye to China - what's your itinerary from now on?

Oh!
Best wishes for the next leg of your journey from a gob smacked Gran. Can't wait to discuss so much. xx

Amazing!
Loved the restaurant what a great setting (place not table) All good things must come to an end, but hey! enjoy the next leg of your journey, which is where ??? You have strayed from your schedule! Eagerly await next entry! x

Can't be too careful
It must be quite galling to hand your camera to an obliging stranger who then promptly runs off with it, never to be seen again! (Clearly, you are more than averagely streetwise!).

Arm extenders
Sam - you need an arm extender (£19.99) - I took one to Istanbul, and although it created quite a stir and a bit of embarressment - it was great for taking self portraits! Wish I could send you one...

Photos of Me
when I want to take pictures of myself It just depends who is around sometimes someone from a tour im on, sometimes a tourguide, sometimes a local stranger...I usualy pick someone who has a better camera than me to try and prevent theft.

Beautiful!
Another set of lovely photos to delight beholders. I particularly loved the one of Old Shanghai. Great shot. Water so clear. All so very oriental. Obviously! x
