Boston Pops 4th
It is a great venue. Finding good sight lines (for reasons mentioned in the blog) was a real hassle that year, though.

Boston is a great city
One of Americas finest historical locations. Very cool that you got to attend one of the special tours. I love your historical information. Thanks for another blog.

Fun tour of a historic place
As the blog hopefully shows, I really liked the Old North tour, lots of information not in the schoolbook version of history. Boston has so many layers of history to discover.

Big Ships
We saw some big ships, historical ships at the festival while we were living in Baltimore. I agree that a sailors life was tough. Those ships didn't have a lot of space and not much comfort. But they sure are pretty.

Historic ships
Was the festival the Bicentennial of the Star Spangled Banner? If so, I made it too! I remember the Eagle being there, and the line was so long I couldn't get on. Glad they made it to Boston.

Boston is full of historic stories
This is an example of why I think everyone should write stories about their local area. They are the experts. What a great festival to share with us. History buffs will be making their plans for the future. King's chapel church is one of our favorites. Great blog.

Historic festival
Thanks for the comments. Believe it or not, I overlooked this festival for almost twenty years :( There's more history to come.

Harborfest
Thank you for an entertaining, informative, historical tour Ezra. What a wonderful service historical re-enactors do...bringing the past to life so history is imparted with passion and relevance...even bringing the stories of gravestones to life. Paul Revere idolised in verse because William Dawes did not rhyme...Ho Chi Minh in Boston...never would have imagined that.

Historic tours
Thanks for the comments. I loved the Kings Chapel tour and the stories; so much better than the usual "see the sights listed in your guidebook" type tour.

I loved snow growing up
There is not a kid on earth that does not love the joys of snow. Sadly, as we grow up many of us don't continue with that joy. Your photos are spectacular. I love well written blogs and your blend of history and adventure keep us interested every time. Glad you have hiking. Hope you can make another cross country trip soon...or head to lands unknown.

A special winter hike
Thanks for the comments. I knew that hike would be special when I kept feeling flashbacks to childhood, all that joy of winter. Beautiful snow and perfect sunlight. I look at the photos every few weeks.

Lost in color
As always you've absorbed your surroundings and gotten more out of a hike than most. Great to see you blogging again. Thanks for sharing the richness of colors.

Foliage hikes
Thanks for the comments. 2014 was one of the best years I've ever seen for foliage, as the blogs hopefully show. I still look at the photos every few months : )

Off the path U.S.
I love reading your blogs because you go off the path and write blogs about things we don't often see. Great photos. Great blog.

Off the beaten path
Thanks. I found that hike on a trails website roughly two days beforehand : ) The foliage in general that year was incredible
