100 hours is the the time it took to get from Rio to Potosi. some brilliant planning. a 30 hour bus, meant to be 28, to the border which was closed at 2.30 in the afternoon, obviously! So we weren´t allowed into Boliva without an exit stamp from Brazil. 30 mins of illegal immigrant status later we were back in brazil for a night at a classicically lame border town. Got our stamp the next day so after watching Jenson win the F1 in a bolivain train station we got our over night train. Luckily it was our carriage whose electricity and air con broke for 3 hours, giving us another 2 hour delay by the time we reached Santa Cruz a little bit hot and cranky to say the least. 6 hours chill out time ... read more

Rio, Rio, Rio. What a place, after another 27 hour slog on a bus, we missed Flamengo Vs Sao Paulo. Took us three hours to get through bloody border police due to some idiots who weren´t allowed in so had to sit, for three hours slowly realising that the game was slowly drifting away. Worse still was speaking to all the guy in the bar when they got back telling us just how great it was! Moan aside it was a thew best place so far. We met up with Julio´s daughter Luine and her boyfriend diego for a local night out which was great, though took a while to get used to the ticket system in clubs. ¡Hola! Had a great time in the very busy B.A last week. spent 5 nights in the capital and loved everyone of them. whilst there the draw of the clubs and nightlife is a little stronger then the tourist attractions though did mange to mingle with the locals in the giant park which was a hive of activities with yoga roller hockey and some not so friendly park football to name a few! we managed to get a good look at the zoo though the not so great fences and resisted the urge to pedalo around the parks little lake and watched the world go by with a coffee at the saturday market in Palermo, a very happening area of B.A. Of course we manged to have a tour of the Boca Juniors stadium earlier in ... read more
