Having left our royal friends at the Hutt River Province. We travelled up the North West Coastal Highway, where we turned off to visit Shark Bay, A world heritage area, where some of the earliest living organisms are found. Shark Bay is also home to a very diverse marine life, including Dugongs, Dolphins, sharks and turtles. On the land they are trying to reintroduce animals such as the Bilby whose population is now on the increase in the shark bay area. On our way into the area we stop at the old telegraph station at Hamlin pool. Where we once again in search of the illusive stromatalites. Thankfully we found some more information about what stromatalites are all about. They are tiny organisms that helped life on earth begin and evolve due the oxygen they created.
