Hello.. So we arrived in Kuta yesterday from Singapore.... Kuta is like Costa Del Sol for the Auzzies, We arrived early hours in the morning had a quick kip then walked along the beach north to Seminyak about 10km, a few stops along the way included meeting one of the many sales women offering massage...instead i gave her a massage she liked, we chatted i didn't charge her.lol. In Seminyak lots of spas along with nice restaurants.. From Taman Negara we traveled for about 10 hours to get to the Perhentian islands were we found a really nice beach chalet right in the sea and decided to chill here for 10 nights By Rich As we opted for coral beach the quieter side of the island we got dropped off of the boat first...amazing just a few chalets (we went for a sea front ) its bliss getting up going for a swim in the clearest sea...bit of snorkeling ,canoed for the first time..it took us 6 hours to get around the whole island.(massages all around after) The [View Full Entry]

Taman Negara is a massive national park (4343 sq km) which is 130 million years old. We stayed at Kampung Kuala Tahan. This area is a massive jungle and we went trekking through it for a few days and worked hard!! We poshed it for our accommodation and got a really nice chalet and glad we did as there were all kinds of creatures about at night. KL is ok but we had been in the city for a while now with Singapore....stayed for 3 nights saw the Petronas towers and water displays...butterfly and bird sanctuary in lake gardens...But bloody hell it was hot....few beers needed to cool off in an evening.. Back to Singapore to see our Sid (brother) we had a ace time was good again to spend time with family...and they knew all the good places to go(watch out Jim for the sales when Mel goes....the discount on a Prada bag was the cost of our flights)night hawker market,china town was the Buddist temple, clarke quay, shopping and raffles for dinner (cheers Sid) off to KL...this was to be a 7 hrs over land by train..the best views mangroves, huts, local villages popping out of the palms...(glad we had another batch of mammas dumplings to keep us going) [View Full Entry]

Traveled by local bus 4hours north, stopped off at the best road side stop. We stayed in China Town and found this had the best vibe of all of Melaka. From here we decided to go to Paula Basir which was described as a romantic island, white sands and clear beaches(lonely planet and accommodation).....after another local bus ride we hit the jetty. We arrived in Singapore on Sunday 16th June with Rich wearing a jacket (30°C) and both of us chewing nicorette gum which is illegal but helped us through the 12 hour flight!(run fat boy run was on a loop.....wouldn't recommend it,,, 1 star) We stayed at Sing Dings place in Singapore ( sister in law)near the centre and spent a night there...It was cool to see our Cyrstal and Stan the man..its been too long they grow fast..we met Dings mum who won Rich over with her mammas dumplings to which she did a batch for our journey to Melaka...... Hello! I know it been a while but here we go!! It's been over 3 weeks since we left sunny Stabbo and here is what we have been up to!! Polly decided after a month of deafness to leave it to the morning we were due to go, to visit the NHS walk in center who referred her to the QMC with 2 hours to go.
