Still Blogging Hi guys - good to hear from you. We hope you are feeling better now Caroline. We read you were on Magnetic Island for a few days - we just missed you! best wishes, pps
Ah, Far Nothern Queensland Hi Both,
Great Blog, It made me miss our travels when I saw the picture of the "Animal Bridge".
You are not far from Henrietta Creek, try and look it up, its a good spot and also not that far from Lake Tineroo, (School point) which is awesome and where we first met the Wallaby Wanderers.
Stay Safe. Kangaroojack
Hearty meal!! Glad to see Graham is concerned about his cholesterol level! Looks an impressive breakfast though.
We are off on Route 66 in a few days so no doubt will sample similar breakfasts on the road.
Take care.
Bravo! What a fantastic blog. Love the different sections of the travelling family - aren't they all fabulous! We'd loved the fact PIE has 'On the Move' as her slogan, very fitting as you say. Enjoy your travelling extension!! x x x
Catching Up Hi - it was lovely to receive your comment - what a shame we missed you. It sounds as though you've had a very exciting time but no doubt you were pleased to get home. Best wishes, Jan and Graham
Hi Jan & Graham, we only got home last Wednesday (Mt. Martha, Victoria) we did a tag along tour of the Gulf of Carpentaria. We stayed at Mataranka on the 28th of July, just a couple of days before you did, I knew you would be close but didn't know you were that close. Isn't the country so green, we are very lucky to see it and the wonderful bird life. Keep up the great blogs we do enjoy them. Safe travels Carole & Ray
What?! No Emu egg?!! Ha ha! Yes, that would have been a challenge to purchase an emu egg and not break it for the rest of your journey!!! Glad you're feeling better Dad. Love the photos of the view from the falls - gorgeous. Mum - there seems to be a photo missing from the blog ... you know ... the one you sent me of Dad! I think you should put it on!!! x x x x
Great blog! Hey Graham and Janet - I just thought I'd send you a little note to say Hi and to let you know how much I enjoy reading your blog! Pleased to read you are still having an amazing trip around Australia. How much longer are you away for? And where are you off to next, or is the trip planned day-to-day? Your adventures would make a great book one day! :-) Take care and I look forward to reading the next installment, Peppa :-)
Thanks for the comments Hi Jodie, we appreciated receiving your lovely comments very much. In our own way we try to do lots of interesting things even though there are many more travellers who seem to be more adventurous. Regards, Jan
I hope you don't mind, but I am a long-time follower of your blogs. I absolutely love reading about your travels around our country, I almost feel like I am there with you! My husband and I and our two boys have just come back from a road trip with our caravan down to the Great Ocean Road and often referenced your blogs for ideas for many different places along the way, as we did last year with your daughter and son-in-laws travel blogs when we drove to Uluru. So, in saying all that (and hoping that it doesn't sound too weird!)I just wanted to say 'Thanks' and I look forward to reading about your future travels and marvelling at your amazing photos. Thanks Jodie
Geike Gorge Hi - no we didn't GG again because we went into the BUNGLE BUNGLES on a tour. It was just fabulous. We're not on power again tonight - we're in Kununnura but it's full here!! love M&D
Geike Gorge Hopefully you will find time for another visit to Geike Gorge whilst in Fitzroy Crossing. It was at the same caravan park that we left Sweetie and went off to Wyndjana, probably the worst road we ever experienced - even worse than the section of Gibb River Road that we did!!! x x x
Perfect Panda Love the Panda Mum, that's a very special little chap. Glad you got to see Willie Creek and I'm especially pleased to hear about the protest camp! Good on them, if it's still going when we get back then we might have to join in!! x x x
Change of e mail G'day,
Glad to see you are still enjoying the ride - how is the bank balance holding up (we found Aus earlier this year very pricey)
Just booked a last minute cruise to Spitzbergen to see the Polar Bears (we hope!)
Please note the change of e mail address from today (have unsubscribed our old one)
Happy Travels

Staircase to the moon Hi Annette - good to hear from you. It was a magnificent sight and we were very lucky to see it. As 'honourary Aussie' caravanners we should of course be using the BBQs a lot more than we do but we're happy with our mix of cooking and occasional meals out! Jan
brmmm brmmm out of broome So it was brmmm brmmm brmmm out of Broom. The recommendations worked! I loved the staircase to the moon and so fortunate in your timing. It reminds me of Rome Italy in 2000 when every 100 yrs 4 basillicas open a special door for this occassion. People are required to walk through the 4 doors [in a certain time space?] and are then supposedly blessed, can't recall what for, maybe entry into heaven. However, Shasha and I managed just three. We figure we are 3/4's there.
Sunny Brisbane. Frosts in the morning when played golf but 22 by 10.00am and just gorgeous days. June and July are the lovely winter days. Now waiting for the August winds. Mad golfer that I have become played in the rain and sleet of Tenterfield over the Queens's birthday weekend. Compensation of a gorgeous cabin in Stanthorpe on 40 secluded acres with an open fire.
Loving reading of your adventures and also your sampling of food around Australia. Is there a cook book in there Jan? "Best food stops for caravaners". Perhaps to fund the next trip? Much love Annette
Beautiful scenery! Hello from Paris! We'd swap it in a heartbeat for Coral Bay though!!! We've had a fab time here with the Aussies - it's been great fun. We are hardened campaigners with them now so we know the drill. Grant cooks, Darryl cleans up, I plan, the girls have fun and Anna is the cultural, shopping and local police correspondant!! We're loving every minute x x
Missing the family Hi Emma, it was nice to hear from you. We were really sad to miss the get-together but we just had to stay in Coral Bay! Jan and Graham
Hello Hello Pootling Possums,
Thanks for Ben's card, he now doesn't think snorkeling is a good idea in case a big mantra comes up to him, we explained he should be ok in this country!! It was lovely too meet the Aussie pack, and it was great that we had a Jackson get together, shame you two weren't there. It was a shame we didn't have longer with the girls Ben was just getting to start playing with them. I expect Sarah will be tired after her stint with them. Anyway keep up the good blogs, you both look very well, here U/Graham got a pony tail now haven't seen any pics of this!
Take Care
Lots of love

Quobbalicious! Coral Bay is stunning but how lucky you were to stay at Point Quobba. May it stay such a fabulous, sparsely inhabited spot for ever! Mum xxx
It's Quobbalicious! Isn't it just gorgeous coral at Quobba!!! We loved it there and had such a laugh with some long term campers who we thought might just still be in situ when you arrived!! I'm half joking, but you never know! Next stop Coral Bay - just blissful. x x x
Hi and welcome to our blog. We have set out on our second great adventure in Australia, following in the footsteps of those magnificent bloggers The Wallaby Wanderers. Originally we were due to go in March and spend a few weeks with the Wanderers (daughter Sarah and son-in-law Darryl) but those plans were blown apart by the small matter of a triple heart bypass operation that Graham needed. However, all's well that ends well, Graham is fit and healthy again so we arrived in Aus on the 14th August and picked up 'PIE' the trusty Nissan Terrano that Sarah and Darryl bought last year and 'SWEE... full info
