12/1/2010 Josh dropped me off at the airport in Atlanta. 12/1/2011 I picked Josh up at the airport in Auckland. Headed staight north to the very tip of New Zealand to Cape Reinga. Did a little hike and camped out on the beach. Then slowly started heading south. Worked our way to Auckland and went to meeting there. Stayed with some friends we made at the hall and monday went to the bethel. We got put in a tour group with the New Zealand sign language group. After bethel we headed to the hot water beaches on the Coromandel peninsula. You dig a hole in the sand and it fills up with hot water. Then on to Tauranga for the night then on to Gisborne where we caught tuesday meeting. Then worked our way back to ... read more

Floated a class 4 river for about 6 hours. What an awesome experience. Through the jungle as well, Very beautiful. Had the camera locked in a dry bag so wasnt able to get any pictures during the trip but got A couple before, during lunch and after where we got out of the water is where all the monkey pictures are. At one spot there was a waterfall so we had to get out and hike through the jungle and down a small cliff while they used ropes to float the boat downstream. One of the rapids he let us all get out and he pushed the boat through then we all floated and got sucked under at two spots. It was awesome, i did drink a little water at this point. Then one of the ... read more

We hiked to the top of Imbabura which is at 15,190 ft. Pretty intense hike and comin down was even more difficult because we took a different route which was longer. The city of Ibarra is around 7000 feet. We went by truck part way up the mountain and then hiked a couple thousand vert. Probably one of the most exhuasting hikes ive ever done. There is a crater from a volcano but when we got to the top it was to foggy to see.... read more
