Our last days were spent with a family who live just outside Melbourne. Jeremy, an old friend of John's, invited us to stay with them in their massive house, which he had partly built himself. They grew some organic vegetables, fruit and nuts on their 10 acre land, which also incorporated a swimming pool and chicken coop. We thoroughly enjoyed the family's company, playing with the children Jordan (8) and Sasha (5), who are home-schooled by their mother Donna Marie. There is a strong interest in Steiner education in the family, which led us to all going out and visiting the Steiner exhibition in Melbourne's National Gallery of Victoria.
